I don't mind it TBH. I'm happy CD will experiment with next-gen with different titles. By the time they seriously start working on the next TR title they should have some experience already.

I have the feeling they will use the same engine all over again, so at this time they should be ****ing experts. No need to re-learn everything tough some major changes have been done. Not sure about being interested on another CD game except TR.

I wouldn't mind that either. They couldn't use all of TOMB RAIDER's engine's potential, due to limitations of the current gen.

Odd logic. That suggests that, four/five years ago, Crystal rebuilt their CDC engine and the result was something too powerful for current tech. That doesn't make sense. How can you create something using current tech and end up with something too powerful for current tech?

If by current gen we mean consoles then it's true. Only the PC squeezes everything out of the engine and probably it could offer even more if it wasn't designed for the consoles in mind to begin with.

You're only talking about the visuals, there's nothing else that the PC version does that the console versions don't. Any other shortcomings would be down to Crystal and their coding prowess, or lack of (like the absence of swimming :pi:).

Actually CD Should at least release one more TOMB RAIDER game for current gen, and then for the third game release only in next-gen bc not many people can afford next gen consoles as soon as they get released.

If we don't see another TR for two or three years, I think it'd be fine if they went next-gen only. I don't know how long the platform holders & devs/publishers will want to continue supporting the current-gen, I imagine it'll quickly get to the point where it's holding next-gen titles back though.

Considering how long the last one was in development (and how disappointed Square was with the sales), I'd imagine Square would want to push the next one out as soon as possible. So I expect it to hit shelves at some point in the second half of 2014. Probably for current and next gen.
