He took an early trailer of the game to the company's office in London and showed it off. It reveals a very different version of the young Lara on an island setting, riding a horse across a beach, fleeing a crashing aircraft and battling mythological monsters – all with a voice over introducing the origins concept: "I'm not perfect, I'm not bullet-proof. I bleed…". When the video ends, Gallagher says, "I think we nailed it". The project was instantly green lit. |

Was looking for those leaked photos of the early Tomb raider reboot and found this.

I love the old concept and i made it my new avatar
i wish they use the short hair instead, it would make more easier to animate and there would be no billion threads about her hair in TRF nothing we can do now, :o |

She's rude on the right one, very boyish. I guess that's also cause of injuries and dirt they added to face. Although she looks totally different in rendered and gameplay versions. http://storage.siliconera.com/wordpr...lara_thumb.jpg What I dislike in left one is her dumb facial expression, lack of character. It's like she's posing for photographer or something. Classics Lara was never that beautiful, she was unique.(character wise) They should have had kept hair, It's too heavy and glued from front in the actual game. |

You know, that's an artwork ... I think she really looks like the real Lara on the old one :jmp: I like the new one, but the old one is 90% better. |

I definitely like her new/final concept art much more than the previous one. It's closer to her in-game model face and she is less boyish looking.

If I've understood correctly, this ''new'' concept art we're seeing is the early concept art that Crystal Dynamics presented to, Square Enix I suppose, in the hopes they would greenlight the idea of the TReboot. The boyish-looking render of Lara is the more recent one, even though the only thing different is the face; the body is identical. I too find myself slightly preferential towards the early Lara's face, but it's just concept art anyway. |

What I mean by the "old" one is the one on the left that everyone thinks is old, but that I think is the new and final version. |

Once a concept is green-lit you start developing the actual model, which overtakes and leaves the concept behind. |

This: http://venturebeat.files.wordpress.c...oncept2013.jpg looks nothing like this: http://www.juegos.es/blog/wp-content...ning-Point.jpg But compare this to the face above from the Turning Point trailer: http://25.media.tumblr.com/46f3503ce...o3_r1_1280.jpg |

I for one hope that the reviews will be positive.

Reviews are a long way off yet. I would expect the week prior to release is when we will get the reviews that way magazine issues will be able to release them at the same time and take advantage of the first week in March release date. :)

I'm not the one constantly posting my unwanted and disrespectful opinion everywhere.
So there is clearly no reason as to why I should leave :D |
Like I said, the truth is not all white and fluffy. Everyone have different opinions and expectation.
I asked for reviews. There's still none. |

That defeats the point of reviews then. Shouldn't it normally be out before game releases? LCGoL had it before release as I remember it got good/even perfect scores. Pretty sure other games are like that too.
I think some companies hold reviews until a little after release date like RE6, which is a shady practice to get more sales. |
there's an argument basically everywhere on this forum
