Sorry for the late replies, but I just cached up with this thread :p

I think the game is going to offer crap-tons of exploration compared to Legend, I think the platforming will be less sticky and PoP-like and more classic running and jumping and steering. People wanted more keys and classic puzzles/ tasks, this new game explicitly ditches those elements, perhaps the new puzzles will be harder?

You can hardly call puzzles what we had in TR1-TR3, pulling switches and find keys is not a real puzzle. TR4 actually introduced some puzzles using fire, water and other stuff.
I agree that we need classic exploration back, but I can't understand why someone would want those kind of "puzzles" back, I still think using a lever to move the boat on TR1's Natla's Mines is the stupidest thing ever.

Easy, we do it how we used to - by trail and error. We go up to stuff and see if they're burnable or not by trying to ignite them. It makes the experience so much more worthwhile. I mean, remember in the classics when you used to find a hidden block that was camouflaged into the wall and you felt good about it because you figured it yourself. These days you can't have that because you'd have a huge hint icon next to the block saying that you can move it. I don't need any of that stuff, tbh.

I'm sorry but I think that just cheap design and a cheap way to add difficulty, like you have a bunch of blocks that look exactly the same but only one is movable for whatever reason, you have to stand in from of each and see if Lara interacts with it, that's not a matter of exploration or figuring out what to do, just boring.

edit: And why do we need an icon in the upper right hand corner saying "torch" after I pick up a torch? No **** guys, no **** it's a torch. ._.

Oh come on, that's pretty much like some of the classic TRs showing what you just picked, instead of a picture they named it.
