Oh god I really hope so!!!!. I loved this it was fantastic, It made me feel like Lara was a real character, And I love that and all the cool interactive stuff you can immerse into. I so so so hope CD do this, an interview with Lara, Lara, How did you survive so greatly on an island this brutal?. A great interview about her would be great, instead of it being about Karl saying who Lara is, how bout Lara tells us who she is? :P that would be fantastic. Someone make a poll or something!? D:

We're technically going to see that in the game, as one of the cutscenes is of her on the ship doing s video log.

Maybe we unlock her video diaries and each one needs to be interesting enough for us to want to unlock them. Maybe the videos shows Laras more naive side as @Zebra said. Or she explains back info on her relationship with other characters.

Imagine Lara taking her video camera around the Endurance, vlogging about her travels, showing us her friends D:

I'd be happy with the cheap version of that (ie: making her a twitter). But set before crashing in the island, those Leon, Steve and that girl twitters for Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles were...stupid

I think the idea of them doing that is a great idea. Seeing her show videos as rewards for collecting certain items in the environment and earning certain achievements. Now that would be a reward worth getting instead of unlockable bikinis. :tmb:

I'm very pessimistic. I don't even understand how is this still a Tomb Raider game. They evidently flushed out the guts of the title. All that there seems to be left is the name. Lara isn't even Lara anymore - she has doubts regarding her situation in the trailer, which in the light of her original bio would not make sense (as she was of younger age than pictured in the new game, when she survived in Himalayas), so they mean to have a new one for her. Crystal openly admit back during Legend developement they disliked how they original game played. Now they're making her say 'I hate tombs' in the new trailer. If they really consider the original Tomb Raider to be so terrible, why not put your actions where your mouth is and make it an original game without using the Tomb Raider and Lara Croft names, huh? Obviously they won't do that, sure, but why pretend it's a Tomb Raider game when they don't want it to be one to begin with... Seriously, I fail to understand what are they trying to do with the franchise, there was soooo much potential in the original gameplay, that for them to just turn sideways with everything is hard to accept.

In Lara's original bio she was 21 at the time of surviving in the Himalayas. I also doubt she was having the time of her life exploring tombs and being jolly. She probably didn't have any dual pistols to whip out either.

Why should Lara enjoy tombs in the situation she is in? And why should we take that line seriously in the first place?

And why is a game about exploring an island wilderness to solve some ancient mystery not considered Tomb Raider no matter how easy or linear the game may look?

She will end up the same, that's the point of the game.
The "I hate tombs line." isn't even to be taken seriously, she never really liked tombs actually, just look at how she's treated EVERY tomb she's been through... she loved archaeology and adventure, not tombs, which she still does.

There's even a historical/mythological story behind the game so there you have it, a more cinematic, realistic Tomb Raider, I don't see why even haters would complain!

do you understand the concept of irony? What better way to develop Lara into a "tomb raider" that to start her off actually disliking them? Right now, she is in survival mode, but once she toughens up, her curiosity will take over. When she makes that comment, tombs are good places to get killed. Later though, when she isn't constantly fighting for her life, she will begin to see them in a different light.

Let's just get over that so called "rape scene". I've seen much worse in games.
