The reason ghetto lingo is banned is because it was being used to derail threads. A handful of people would start posting in ghetto lingo and then take over the thread because other people weren't sure what was going on or didn't want to bother posting something on-topic since it would be buried and ignored anyway.

So, to prevent this from happening any further, ghetto lingo isn't allowed anymore. It's the same with over-sized gifs or anything else that people abuse in order to turn threads into cliquey chats that alienate everyone else from participating in the thread.

I agree! I was so excited when that was announced as the Amazon pre-order bonus and then so sad when it turned out to be the hunter skin instead XD

Really? Well that's a relief. I heard it was only for PS3.

I should just buy an Xbox then because I already have the controler (unless the Xbox version is predicted to be the worst).

Keep in mind that you'll likely need to buy an Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to play the multi-player. On the other hand, playing multi-player should be free on PC (through Steam) or on PS3.

I might just go with the PS3, then. I heard it'll be the better of the three (TR wise) and in the big picture, cheaper. I don't particularly want it for PC because of the PC requirements and it (in my opinion) seems like it might be more awkward to control.

Actually IIRC it was the ghetto lingo users that were alienated from participating in the thread by everyone else. At a push it was like 2 threads derailed by ghetto lingo users. By members complaining about ghetto lingo users, however, that's a different story...

Actually I think a lot of games don't allow pre-loading. They have to upload a special version of the game which is missing a few key files and then allow those files to be downloaded on the release day. I tried looking on the Steam forums but I didn't see any threads about whether TR will allow pre-loading.

It looks like some of Eidos' other games allowed pre-loading so I expect TR will too, but I don't think it's been confirmed yet.

This has me on edge, I hope it does. I shouldn't be worrying that much anyway, tbh it's not like I'm guaranteed to be playing on March 5th, I need to get my new PC in order first. :ton:

So so skeptical about what the Limited Edition of the Strategy Guide brings, can anyone list what exactly we get with it (besides the necklace) and what "in-game items" are we getting with it? Are they exclusive?

I know we are getting the Scavenger Scout and Scavenger Executioner characters to play in MP and there are lots of 'detailed' maps in the book. I think the Scavenger Scout is exclusive, I haven't seen a picture of it. I have seen the Executioner in a screencap in the single player game but not in multiplayer so i'm thinking that might be exclusive as well.

Nice, anyone know if the codes for these DLC work on all platforms? I don't want to purchase this and find out it's for 360.

I loved her look in GoL. It was not only realistic but looked serious and mean. Like Lara should be. I would love the new slut to evolve into her.

I remember it saying "on the platform of your choice" but it didn't specifically state which platforms. I'm guessing it'll most probably be on PC though. Strategy guides most usually sell a lot more PC versions than PS3 or Xbox so they'll be stupid for not doing so.

I certainly hope there will be more Lara Croft games, parallel with Tomb Raider releases.
