I doubt it. The 10-15 hours were probably the time it takes when playing it for the first time without knowing the puzzle solutions etc. I'd think AoD really would be a more accurate comparison. It's certainly not possible to complete that in 3-6 hours if you don't already know in advance what to do and where to go.

No one is being a bitch calm yourself down, the whole point of people's posts is to makenhim see that that if Legend took him 24 hours to complete when it was clearly never made to last 20 hours like the reboot then he need not worry about the reboot's length which will probably take him twice as long.

To complete the game with all secrets yes. Not the speed runs because in all honesty I don't see how replaying the levels as quickly as possible can credibly be included in the overall game play time. :)

In all honesty its unfair, in my opinion, to compare the reboot's length to Legend for which length was never an issue in development, I seriously doubt CD ever sat down and consciously tried to make the game a specific length. That came about from the negative reaction to the short length of TRL and they made an effort to make TRA and TRU longer. If I remember correctly TRU was aimed at 13-15 hours. So it would make more sense to compare to that. Both TRA and TRU took me about the 13.5 hour mark. TRU could have been longer had they not made the artifacts so dull to collect that I gave up.

its not how long he needed but that he implied that 5 hours are too short even though he wasnt the one who played tr. and if he needed so long for trl he probably needs the same amount for the new one, because legend was easy

Tomb Raider The Last Revelation took me ~11 hours to complete. That's the longest in the series, right? So, this estimated length seems ok to me.

I couldn't resist watching part of a walkthrough either... I only saw the E3 2011 footage and it looks 10000000000000000x times better!

There are like 6 videos on YouTube. They're in horrible quality and it's certainly not the entire game. I dunno what's the point of exaggerating this much

I had a dream that last night, the Xbox 360 TR9 Collectors Edition had arrived, with the standalone game on PS3 and I was so surprised! :vlol:

The one I saw wasn't in horrible quality. But I agree that the entire game isn't on youtube ad that people are exaggerating this lol.

I find it hard to believe someone going in blind, their first time, can complete Legend, all rewards, in 8 hours.

I find it sad that some fans are watching those walkthroughs on youtube... oh well.

I did it in less (although not much). Legend is a game for morons, it almost completes itself, it's that stupidly easy.

The problem is in having no will, perhaps ;)

I find it hard to believe that it could take you 20+ hours to complete it but I take your word for it. A courtesey you have not extended to me. The whole point is Legend was not a difficult or lengthy game for a great many people. Ask around and you might see that. But everyone is different and progresses at different rates.

I checked my Legend save file and it's 17:51:06. But still, I'd be hard-pressed to find anyone else (who is not Spong) who beat Legend their first time, and collecting everything, in 8 hours. 8 hours is more like a time most people take to initially beat it just collecting what they can so I think you must be the greatest first time Legend player ever.

From what I read on this thread, the so-called walkthroughs are about the beginning of the game, something CD already spoiled with E3 and such. Not a big deal.

It's ironic though, I never showed more interest than needed in this Tomb Raider, yet the more closer we get to release, the more excited I get. I always wanted a game where we could tell the character's progression through the state of his/her clothes. It makes the journey even more epic in a way: you don't get out of this adventure without wounds and scars. I'm pleased they went for this.

Apperently shipment arrived to some stores yesterday, that's how some people have it. There is the pirated leak too but, just to clear some things up.

I watched a video of the den escape and DAMN the final build looks so good :eek:

I'll see if the store in the city next to mine has it, if it does, i might consider watching a walkthrough or something.

I dont really understand how someone can think they played 7 hours more of a game than they did. So its believable for Spong to have completed Legend in a small time frame and no one else? Great logic there. Like I said, a lot of people found legend really short and really easy its not uncommon at all. Regardless of what you think about my completion time the whole reason I responded to you was to put things into perspective for you and put your mind at rest that you would have more than 20 hours in the reboot and not to worry. Something you seem to have completely disregarded in favour of doubting what I said about myself :confused:
