No offence , but have you got any idea about the meanings of the words you're using ? becauseTR2013 Lara , as a matter of fact , is neither chubby nor bulky .
And Classic Lara's spaghetti arms and microscopic waist is light years away from demonstrating/representing fierceness or badassary imo , especially when combined with the tacky six packs visible in some renders , it adds to the whole caricature-esque , uncanny/grotesque look . Shortness is another issue . Yes , she was indeed made shorter , it was a conscious decision by the devs . |
She's literally thin, she's just not abnormally thin and her boobs are smaller so they don't contrast as much with the rest of her body as they did before. She's 1.68m, she's four whole centimetres taller than the average British woman so she's average yes but not short and definitely not "very" short. She's just shorter than before which is something that used to bother me but I honestly don't care anymore.
She's just a college graduate in 2013 with some climbing and archery training. Her model becomes bulkier, with more muscle definition and the baby face goes away game by game in the following two games so I don't know what your deal is. |
|
Many girls would kill to have a body like that render. She still has feminine curves and an hourglass figure, it's just downplayed compared to the classic character.
I do have my own issues with her not looking enough like Lara for my tastes, which does include wishing she was taller and more leggy. I also do think she's styled incredibly plain in terms of her hair and clothing, to the point where it's a case of over-correcting sexualisation. I have never considered her unattractive though and think it's a reach when people say that too. |
That's the problem, they created her to be relatable because original Lara was an unrealistic beauty standard. Who cares?? I am sick of this pc policy. I want Lara to be sexy skinny, muscular, unrealistic and bad ass.
|
She's just a healthy girl in reboot. There is no problem in a HEALTHY girl, she looks normal, strong and sexy too. I totally don't understand the point of saying she looks unrealistic or not sexy. Please people go out and look at others around your town.

Lara is beautiful in this trilogy, she looks absolutely perfect in Syria level in Rise - just imagine duals and a backpack and that's it, perfect LC in my book. Muscles in Shadow were cool as well but I like her face better in 2013 and Rise (rise is more detailed). I know it's subjective but calling this version LC unattractive is playing blind. Not everyone finds a plastic doll with giant boobs attractive xD

-- Reboot Lara is cute. Not sexy imo, but cute. Turning Point is one of the most beautiful Lara, only behind AOD and Legend. Of course, nothing, not even the orcs from Mordor deserve to be compared to that thing that 2013 Definitive Edition was. |

She looks more like a Kardashian in the reboot because of her big hips and big butt and short stature.

Anyone else notice how (at least in the US) Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is no longer on the PlayStation Network Store?

A lot of people seem to think that it's because they're preparing something. Rise is apparently also gonna be July's PS Plus game. |
Why would they give Rise away for free (An Shadow on PSNow) if they're planning on re-releasing the games for money?
|
That's exactly the reason why I'm thinking maybe it's something new and not a rerelease of the Survivor trilogy.
Maybe it's a Lara Croft game? |
That wouldn't be a reason to remove a game from the store though. Edit: I just clicked on the link and it's there.

Hi, I recorded another behind the scenes. This time it's the cutscene where Roth died https://youtu.be/DWKIG7--POo

Admit it guys. The first time you entered in that bunker in the Coastal Forest at the beggining of the game you thought you are entering a big tomb.
|
No. I thought I was entering certain death
|
Does anyone know how many people you need to get all MP trophies in this game? I seem to remember you need to be 4 people to play ranked :ponder:
|
That's correct, you need 2 vs 2 to get it started.

Just started playing this again and it’s been a few years. Well, I’m just at the wolf den part where you retrieve the pack for Conrad, and....... I stopped playing :o
I’m not sure why I’m struggling - could be the slow start, but I think I’ve played it so many times I can’t deal with the characters and voice acting in 2020. I know it’s been discussed many a time but oh wow.....oh wow. I’m constantly slagging everything off in my head :o Even the boring character designs are irking me! What’s wrong with me?! I see it with a lot of concept artists - especially when everyone wants a realistic gritty tone - all the characters are limited to certain and specific dress codes. I.e basic as ****. You see a lot of Rayes and Alex designs in other games. Were we supposed to have more cutscenes of Lara sitting at a campfire watching the camera flashbacks? Because it’s set up like the camera was going to be this tool for some context and backstory on events and characters before the ship crashed. They even have an ‘extras’ section in the menu for the 2 cutscenes on the endurance. TWO! What was the point in having a section for 2 cutscenes. And who the hell is filming on the endurance? Is it not Sams recorder? They set it up like it is someone just capturing the goings on while sailing but it makes no sense. The crew is arguing at the table and someone Is filming and zooming in on character faces like it’s Big Brother. Very random way of presenting the story should just have made them cutscenes. And it’s not even Sam filming - Crystal obviously set it up as Sam being this camera savvy girl but someone we don’t know is filming everything (aside from the really really bad scene of Sam filming herself and Lara with the criiiiiinge dialogue. Lara: “okayyyy okayyyy....... and Sam.......thanks” *stares at camera for 5 seconds smiling* ) you know the one. And then you got the bizarre scene of someone filming Lara and Conrad talking from far away. What were Crystal trying to do? I really don’t get it. A lot of ideas seemed just for show and weren’t realised or conceptualised well. I think they were gonna try have these ‘learning’ reminders from Conrad too. Before killing the dear an over voice of Roth reminding Lara about “focus. the key is focus” (Well no **** Conrad) pops up and then again another one about following the stream back up to the camp, and then another one on the radio “remember when we climbed snowdon -just keep moving” ..... it’s like Crystal knew they wanted to make survival game so put in these survival vibes and elements and then they just went no where and were actually pretty corny.. But most of the tips are pretty obvious things people would do anyway and then these “tips” aren’t given again (not that we need them) from what I remember. Damn I did not think I’d go on that long - I’m just surprised and it sucks for me that I can’t get past these silly things.....is anyone the same? |

I haven't played a game since Fallout 4. Always meant to play this one but never found the time. Well, all I can say is, Wow, what a fun game. I'm playing it again while Rise of the Tomb Raider is down loading. It took me a bit to get my game on but its all coming back to me. I never played any of the TR games so this is all new to me. Great way to pass the time while working from home. Looking forward to progressing through the series.

Let's actually get things back on track I'd hate to think I was the one who derailed them ;) with too much banter I like TR 2013 greatly its just a shame that the sequels have gone off on a silly tagent.
|
Rise took a lot of the things Tomb Raider did good and built even further upon them while also introducing new stuff so I'd say it actually surpassed the first game in many aspects.
Shadow needed a little more time to be polished I think and then it would be just as good. |

Hello! I recorded behind the scenes from a few cutscenes where Lara was helping Roth with his leg. https://youtu.be/iI5aKq48hUM

I think TR2013 is the most solid in the trilogy in comparison, even if the tombs are really lacking. But yesterday I played up to the wolf battles and damn, I didn't remember it so intense. The whole introduction is definetely the best in the saga.
