I thought that Shadow felt much more like a modern take on Tomb Raider than '13 or Rise did, and that's part of the reason why it's my favorite of the three. The story isn't the greatest, but I can mostly get over that.

same here. i think the story is pretty much fine tbh, it's just a few rather minor elements that bug me overall

Apart from Trinity's insanely anti climatic end I thought the story was good. Lara going god knows where to search for an artifact she wants..that's all I need.

Honestly, my only problem with SotTR's story apart of unnecessary need to finish Trinity for good, which made it very anti climatic, is that the plot loses the "scene to scene" flow after the dream sequence. The cutscenes themselves are really good, though. It's just that it feels more like they are happening because it was decided they would happen at that moment of the story, and not because the plot organically asks for them.

Other than that, I actually like the plot of the game, and Lara's progression as a character. A bit too nuanced for the climatic ending of a trilogy, but if the game was a standalone story, Lara's development would have been perfect IMO.

Iím so close to the platinum trophy . I played all the way to the oil refinery today on NG+ Deadly Obsession and died at the set piece just after the first combat section . Deadly Obsession makes navigation so frustrating

But hopefully I should get the Platinum tomorrow.
