Avenue 5

Is anyone else here watching this sci-fi comedy?

Long story short ship gets knocked off course and chaos ensues.

The first episode was a bit well not good and ended somewhat abruptly (it felt like it ended abruptly to me) and it should have been an hour long instead of half an hour.

The second episode was much better and had three great lines.

When a passenger asked if he could see a counselor he was told he's booked solid for a year today's been like black Friday for mental health care.

When an annoying passenger asked the captain if he had an escape pod he said no but if I did I'd put you in it and set it on :cen: fire.

The captain referring to the 4 coffins caught in the ship's gravity field there goes Tutankhamen Joe (the coffin was made of gold) and three packed lunches.

We're watching. Enjoying it.

Most premieres are clumsy. Only Breaking Bad nails everything.

I expect it to continue to improve. It's a great premise.

It's the clumsiest premiere I've ever seen they should have done a few reshoots to add some funny lines and scenes or at least tried it out on a test audience.

All that was missing was a tumbleweed rolling by in the background every time something that wasn't funny was said.

The one character I really don't like and one I hope meets a very painful but very funny death is the guy with the blonde hair Jed I think is his name, I didn't like him right from the minute I saw him, I hated him even more when he told NASA to :cen: off or was it go :cen: yourselves, whichever one it was I really don't like him.

I don't think you're supposed to. He's a spoiled, stupid brat. :p

I also don't like him because Josh Gad plays the part, I really don't like Olaf from Frozen and if it were up to me I'd kill off both his Avenue 5 character and Olaf.

Episode 3 wasn't funny, the writing and humour is hit and miss, right now more miss than hit, if the show makes it past one season I might not come back but if the humour were to improve to the point where it's actually funny then I might come back, just have to wait and see.

Tonight's episode had the funniest lines because for once they weren't trying too hard to be funny.

The main joke in the episode was a pope's face I'm not sure which one appearing in the ring of :cen: that surrounds the ship.

The funniest lines came from the above joke.

I've got this bit about the papal poop, I thought oh the Catholic church had already gone to :cen:

I see some familiar feces in the audience tonight.

Thank you you've been a :cen: audience.

If only it was that funny in the preceding episodes the humour in the previous episodes had been very hit and miss more miss than hit and there were a good few bits where a tumbleweed should have rolled through the scene.
