I think on reflection they probably made just a throw-away comment after speaking about a successful exclusivity deal (eg, FF7 remake). "Yeah, it worked well for us... we'd like to work more with Sony". I'd have to see where they made the comment to see if it were more significant than that.

Microsoft showed an interest in buying the Tomb Raider franchise, and could save Square Enix out of financial trouble, permanently, by doing so. I don't think that there was going to be a question if the Tomb Raider franchise would be interested. Microsoft should back out on the proposal right? (Play business)? But they would never. Tomb Raider isn't about money. You need help? You got it, I think.

Something interesting about the T.R.U.E. Trademark, not only did the extension get approved but the "Intent to Use" was assigned. For reference Halo Infinite had its "Intent to Use" assigned in May of 2021. SIX MONTHS before its release. 👀

Really? Because you're writing there something TR isn't going to be able to. Deliver TR on the shelves in 6 months. So, really? Was it needed to bring that up? I'd rather have the developers spend extra time to get the most out of their product rather than to feel rushed by news.

Oh I'm sure it was financally lucrative but if I were SE I wouldn't be happy at how they dropped TR like a hot potato for Fallout.
