They wrote, that source is IGN. Well, I don't think it's from TOMB RAIDER (but it would be great if it was), it's just concept art that shows like nothing special. They would give us this before I think.

Edit: And it's not the same style like the second concept art which is official.

Now that we are used to the new Tomb Raider logo.. do you like it?
At the beginning I thought it was kind of a simple logo but now that I look back at the older logo's I'm kind of happy with the new logo. Very effective and strong.

It's been said thousand times that they're aiming for open hub game which is kinda similar to open world game :p
There are big open areas. I believe we can travel among them. And the island will be fully open right before the game end. Just a guess.
