The gameplay is simple yet addictive and once you get used to all menus and currencies, it flows smoothly and gets you into upgrading all your gear.
Currently I'm stuck at Lost Valley. Such a long level with some nasty enemies. Does anybody know how do you unlock the side tombs? I unlocked the Vilcabamba tombs in my first try but after replaying a couple of times the first 2 levels, I couldn't unlock anything. Also at this moment I'm trying the Chakram weapon, it's powerful as it work as a kind of boomerang. I was lucky to get a rare (blue) one. |
|
Well it's... definitely a mobile game.... They're trying really hard to make it as annoying as possible at certain levels, but I'm not spending a single dime on this. It has to be the least exciting TR mobile game. It's ok if you want to kill some time, but nothing special.

What exactly do the green flags do in Temple of Moon?
It looks like they increase my health point only when I'm over 9000 (cue Vegeta meme) but if Lara's HPs get under 9000 they stop having any effect whatsoever. "10%+" still appears but nothing changes in my health bar. |
The green flags are supposed to heal you, but they are currently bugged.

i was waiting for someone to point this out. this is unacceptable, i think this event deserves another day's extension because of this. it's totally unfair. how did they not even give it a basic test first?
nvm they can do what they want with this mess, ive uninstalled. what a waste. cant wait for it to bomb |
The duals have become my go to weapon, they start out really weak but with the right upgrades and powers it's better than any other weapon for me. A few critical shot/power and speed upgrades, they are unstoppable:cln:
While it's not everyone's cup of tea, to me it just feels nice to have some form of classic TR again. Really missed the classic outfit, the duals and the fancy moves. |
I use a throwing spear I found with uncommon quality after I finished the first level.

I really like this game ! At first not so much but I think it's really entertaining. What I LOVED was that I had to leave my phone in the middle of a fight, and when I came back the app was closed and I got back to the loading screen and then when I got to the title screen the game asked me if I wanted to continue my previous fight. This is such a great great option because sometimes you can't stay on your phone and here you don't loose progress ! Really cool !! Also I like how the game can be hard but you can manage to found some strategy for most ennemies and set up ! Also I like that upgrading your stuff make it easier ! So far the game don't feel unfair to me ! |

It would be very welcome if once you reached that limit, those flags turned into something else to keep being useful, specially in those moments when there aren't any blue flags to step on. |

I'm pressing buttons in the menu and nothing is happening. I end up pressing the same button multiple times and then suddenly the game registers multiple keypresses and I end up all over the show. Is anyone experiencing this?

Reloaded's reviews are currently at 1.8 stars.
What an achievement. |

I can change the Akram before the final boss fight? Or not?

This game is stupidly addictive :/
Currently in Tomb of Qualopec. |

Perhaps TR just isn't for mobile. |

And I'm sure LC: Go had good reviews. This has to be quite a low blow for them. |
Too bad they shut down Square Enix Montreal / Onuma, now who will make a Lara Croft Go sequel ? :p

I have a few questions to those of you who have played the game for a while now.
1. What should I use the gems on? I'm earning plenty on the Netflix version but I'm hesitant to spend them on crates since I'm a bit clueless if I'll need them for something else later on. 2. What weapons should I put my ressources into? I'm only leveling up the duals right now. 3. Any other tips for beginners? Thank you :) |
I would also like some tips. I don't understand how the abilities work. Do they run out after a while or do they stack for the whole run? They seem to run out but I can't tell how long they last.
Also there seem to be levels during the run but they don't match my overall level. Like it will say I'm level 12 during the run but then when I'm done my overall level is only like 7. It's really confusing. It's crazy how hard this game is. I'm only on chapter 3 and I have no idea how I'm going to get passed it. If it was less difficult it would be a lot more fun it's just impossible at times to dodge so many things. |
@Soma Holiday
By abilities you mean the powerups you pick during a Tomb run? Those last during the whole run. As for levelling, you have your global/account level which is permanent. And your level in a Tomb which always goes back to 1 every time you start a Tomb from the beginning. Honestly, the account level is pointless. You get 10 gems each time you level up and that's about it. In the early days, you could only upgrade your outfit to the max level of your account. Which was also pointless. Now I think you can always upgrade your outfit to 99 regardless of what your account level is. But good luck with that. I am a level 95 in game and my Bomber outfit is level 44. When you get stuck and can no longer progress, your only solution is to grind daily. Do the daily missions, get daily login rewards and play a previous Tomb that you can complete easily until you level up your items. @MissJodieG 1. What you see in the store is what you'll get. Back when I was doing progression I think I bought two or three Incredible Crates x10 for that guaranteed Epic item. Eventually, I got all the gear I needed through gameplay, events and some accidental bugs in early access that showered people with loot. I don't think anything else is worth spending your gems on. 2. As I mentioned before, my weapon of choice is the Staff. It shoots homing projectiles which I adore. I got so annoyed by bullets that miss super fast enemies like rats and such. And I also upgraded it so much that changing to any other weapon now would be a massive downgrade for me. Before I got a Staff, I was using the Shotgun. I played it as a "melee" shotgun. If you go into the melee range of the enemies and use the shotgun, you will deal so much more damage. 3. Don't skip the Shard rooms (blue crystals). Always try to do the puzzle to get them before the timer runs out. They are pretty much the only resource I kinda wish I had more of, or a better way to acquire them. Also try to focus on getting those weekly chests (Mystic Crates). They were worth it in most cases for me. Got some pretty good things from them. |
Awesome thank you so much this is super helpful!! I think the only other question I forgot is whether there is a way to trigger the little green healing orbs that randomly show up when I kill some enemies, or are they totally random?

Also since today if I exit the game just for a single moment (ie because I clicked on the advert when actually trying to close it) the game restarts and I have to reload from a previous screen. This didn't happen before either. It's annoying for Winston or the extra wheel which require to watch an advert that might get you out the game. |

I've started to play the Netflix version of the game, and I must say, I enjoy it more - at least for kow.
This version is completely ad-free and completely MTX-free. While this makes levelling up a bit more tedious, they often grant you things you would have to watch an ad for (like reviving, etc) for free. I wouldn't have spent real money on lootboxes anyway, so not being ushered to pay for better gear is a welcome change. This of course makes the game way more grindy, as you need to spend your gems wisely. |
I deleted the app, nothing much changed and it got boring tbh.
Edit Also another article is taking about the micro transactions calling it predatory. https://www.cbr.com/tomb-raider-relo...s-ads-netflix/ While we do have a Netflix version it still contains a lot of the same transitions and currencies found in the original version. |
Hello everyone. Just started Tomb Raider Reloaded and it's been a pleasant experience so far. I just have some questions (playing the Netflix version if it matters):
1) How do you obtain relic pieces? I'm in chapter 6 and still have to drop another one than the one given to the player in the tutorial (whale head). 2) How do you obtain bomber and winter parka suit pieces? Navigating the menus, the only places to get them is from some milestones, but they don't add up to 100 to unlock the suit. |

I'm also playing the Netflix version and I have the same issues. ad 1) The help states that "later chapters provide a higher chance of discovering relic pieces during puzzle stages", but so far I didn't have any luck. I'm currently at Tomb of Qualopec and I've replayed all the stages up to this quite often now - and yet the puzzle stages only yield shards. I'm considering this bugged for now. ad 2) I assume the remaining outfit pieces drop from lootboxes or during normal gameplay. That said, I really hate the mobile game mechanic of random lootboxing. I wish there was a way to get what you want by playing rather than by just being lucky. |
