Some questions about Blender

Hello there,
I don't know if it's the right place for this thread..
Anyway,
I have some questions about Blender:
-How can I align the vertices in an axis, like in Metasequoia?
-I know that I can put a texture on an object via UV map, but is there a way to texture every faces of the object with the same texture, or different textures (like in Strpix)?
-How can I adapt a flat object to the shape of another one?
Thank you in advance :)

How can I align the vertices in an axis, like in Metasequoia?

Select all vertices you want to align, then hit S and either X, Y or Z (depending on which axis you want to align them) and then 0 (zero).

Is there a way to texture every faces of the object with the same texture

Simplest way to do this would be to use "Reset UV" I think. While in Edit Mode switch the selection method from the default vertex selection to selecting by face. Select all faces you'd like to texture with the same texture like in Strpix, click with the right mouse button and select UV Unwrap Faces > Reset. This will reset the UV mapping of all the selected faces to squares and triangles that are stacked neatly on top of each other.

How can I adapt a flat object to the shape of another one?

I don't understand what you mean - could you give an example?
