It’s a game built to support a linear narrative, with big set pieces, flashy cutscenes, and interactive “quick-time events,” plus optional side quests and hidden collectibles scattered throughout its sunny Manhattan. It is the apotheosis of that formula.
Τhat was spot on for both Rise and Spider-Man. (Except the Manhattan part obviously.)
I'm only able to say this without being afraid because I know most of the members who can't take any type of criticism towards the reboot stopped coming here to avoid spoilers.

That said, I don't need Tomb Raider to be "open world" tbh, in fact I don't want it to be. I just needs more complex level design that isn't so "obvious", straight-foward and linear. It needs levels where you reach a fork in the path and and are unsure which way to take, and real rewards for exploring especially in terms of resources.

Oh honey, I definitely DON'T want Tomb Raider to become open world. Assassin's Creed Origins was an absolute joke, with a world so both littered and empty at the same time. Bizarre right?

I can tolerate TR having open hubs, but I'd personally rather have a refined experience. I just want large level designs, with the level feeling like a maze, but when it comes to the world itself I couldn't give a toss. I'd rather follow a yellow brick road from point A to B.

Open world<Larger complex level design

From that description alone I'd lower the score for Spiderman, because I know the game would be boring AF

Same. I don't want TR to ever become a fully open-world game. Please don't do it.

Same, Rise's hub in the Valley was literally an modern open world map, just highly condensed, you had some pointless collectables and thats was really it, a "Proper" open world would just be that but bigger.

I wish someone would be able to talk about the PC version and performance/optimization of it. It looks like few ppl are playing the PC version since few days ago.

This. Iím extremely against open-world TR. I just want big hubs with lots of exploration, puzzles, all of that.

I didn't expect them to be so high, is the game really that good? Now I'm looking forward to Shadow's review.
