Reviews tend to come out a week prior or a couple of days before. In most cases I found they come out the day before release. We are something like 3 weeks prior release? So, it's silly to expect one so early. :p

They do have it earlier than rest because they must test it but remember there's review embargo forbidding press to publish reviews :)

There is no truth, just opinions. I think we get it, you don't like the game. No need to force this perspective into other's throats. Nobody will force you to play the game, so move on or be constructive?...

Even reviews tend to be biased or subjective anyway. They seem to follow a trend most of the time. I remember by the time AoD was released, every reviews got into the "WHO BASH THE MOST THIS GAME" thing and a big majority of reviews were nitpicking every elements from the game, overlooking its good side. I've yet to read a good neutral unbiased review.

Ironic, he talks about accepting differing opinions, but he calls his "truth" as if it has more merit than ours. :vlol: Everyone's right, he's like a broken record, we're all entitled to our opinions, but repeating them constantly to up your post count is a big YAWN to the rest of us, we no longer care at this point, sadly. You can keep posting it if you like, we can't change that and I'm not going to tell you to not to, but just know that people are allowed to have an opinion of your opinion too, and we think it's tiring. This applies to all the haters that are still sticking around here (especially that idiot who posts one word per line/sentence and used to post spoilers in thread titles :rolleyes:)

Reviews usually arrive in the final week before the games release. It's ALWAYS been that way. Maybe magazines get theirs in earlier because they release theirs in monthly increments and don't have the ability to post it last minute before the game's release like a gaming blog site and such does.

Possibly, she's quite popular in Germany? She seems like a sweet and down-to-earth girl imo. I hope I'll be able to play the game in German (though obviously after I've completed it in English), so I can hear her voice. I still prefer Camilla's to her voice, but it's pretty nice :)

Yes reviews sometimes do follow trend. But what I always do is read both sides - from professional reviewers point of view and normal gamers. Metacritic is a best example for this.

It would be nice get any sort of review right now to get a picture how the game is coming along, since launch date is indeed very near.

Now enough about me, talk about the game.
Since game mags got early digs like a month early, hence it applies to websites too. It would be impossible to schedule each reviews for hundreds and thousands of games just before their actual release dates. It would be ready at the point of writing asap to chase publishment/production. The only thing holding them up now is an embargo, like I stated my suspicion.

I doubt she even knew what she was asked to work for when they said Tomb Raider :vlol: , I mean she'll propably say or have already said "Oh yeah, I play Tomb Raider..." like a previous model said while the only TRUE TR fan and player which has been ascociated with TR so far was Karima :ohn: , not to mention that she was the only non-fake one along with Angie, Keeley and Cami, all the other models and voice actors (lving non-English ones aside) looked too fake (voice actors, with the exception of Jonell, maybe, and Alison) or too much... how to put it lightly... oh... right, SLUTS (the rest of the models) .

How to tell a game's gonna be bad.

I know I'll mostly be feeding the nay-sayers of the reboot with this link, but errr... Why do some of these things mentioned sound so familiar?

Like, we got gameplay footage, yes? Multiple livestreams and all that, which mostly went without a hitch (only notable exceptions include Lara getting stuck in the default game model position and the game once crashing during a live gameplay session with Brian Horton and Noah Hughes). We've also seen a lot of cutscene footage though.

Lara hasn't been seen being overpowered imo. Although latest footage from the Monastery Escape did have Lara blasting her way through enemies with the shotgun rather easily.

We have definitely had a lot interviews with voice actors, composers and creative director... Have we had interviews with the game designers or developers, you know, people who do coding? I can't really remember :confused:

The game did get a mature rating, but aside from the rape attempt by our Russian guy, there seems to be very little else that screams "we're so mature, buy us!". Although there is quite a bit of swearing, though mostly in appropriate situations.

So discuss. Should we brace ourselves for a bad TR game? :( (and by "bad TR" game, I do not mean to provide you with an opportunity to say what you think a TR game should be like :p)

I doubt it. We've seen tons of in-game footage and while there is no public demo release, a large number of fans got to play portions of the game at events and I can't remember reading a single negative impression from any of them.

I think you are reading way into that. TR doesn't really fit any of those categories. At all IMO.

1. We've seen plenty of gameplay footage. From the studio, press, as well as some fans. Most people have pretty much said it played extremely well.

2. We've heard from a few different CD staff members for interviews from both the media and things like the Crystal Podcast. Also, just because they haven't interviewed a coder doesn't mean the game will suck. I can't think of many great games where that specific of a team member for game design was interviewed.

3. As for kill everything in one hit, Lara has a bow and a lot of the kills we have seen her do were head shots. Most of the time it took 2-4 shots depending on the weapon and where they were hit. Debra the deer took quite a few though....in some playthroughs anyway.

They could have also tweaked enemy health for demos so they don't die trying to show off features, like they almost did in that hour long IGN footage.

4. Tomb Raider falls into the other spectrum they were talking about. Lara isn't chewing bubble gum and taking names, while spewing expletive one liners, in booty shorts and a crop top, as enemies explode into bloody chunks that rain down on her, causing her to remove her shirt and rub her body in it.

Seriously though, they are saying if they don't really show gameplay but try to show off sex, gore, and adult language as a feature, it more than likely will suck.

5. Pushed back date? It had one. From November 2012 to March 2013. Not several like the games they are talking about. Look at The Last of Us, that just recently got pushed back a month. Pretty sure Bioshock did too.

Tomb Raider will more than likely at least be a solid game that scores in from 7-9.5's (preferably 9 and above) out of 10.

That's just the 360 version, the PS3 version is still in 17th. But at least they've both gone up now, they were in something like 23rd place before.
