And don't you think it's a bit late to start revealing info at E3 when the game comes out in Q3 2012? All the games that are going to be released at the same time like TR will have more time to build a hype before E3. Not TR though lol

Okay, in my honest opinion there are a great deal of incredible games coming out this year. I just watched the AC:III trailer and it isn't coming out until Oct. 30. But seriously...

Hitman
Halo
etc...

I'm starting to think Tomb Raider should start back up with the campaign so that its light isn't completely overshadowed. Maybe?

The assassins look hot in their hoodies and when you cant see their upper face. But when you see them take it off then they're 'normal' lol (idk girl thing maybe, OMG i fantasize too much, i wanna be tough like lara but i want a bf as tough as the assassins :o), any girls i can sympathize with on these forums :(

Aside from that, trailer is awesome... they just showed us the first piece of info, and in less than a year we're getting the game (7 months). CD please pick up the pace.

Karl, Meagan and all CD should consider if everything is okay with promotion Tomb Raider when people on tomb raider forum have more interest about AC III etc....

This is year is probably the best year for gaming that I've been hyped for since I got really got into gaming.

I'm going to trust in CD. They're the professionals, not me. I can only hope that what they're doing is right, but I'm sure it will work out regardless.

But is it little bit strange, why they did not show us a few screenshot or trailer or polished demo from E3 which was behind closed door...for example new Bioshock and Metro Last Night was behind closed door on E3, but both these games showed us demo from E3 a few weeks/months back and these games coming on Fall

Okay, so this "GDC Play" thing is an event at GDC (obviously) that allows game developers to showcase their games to fellow GDC attendees. It will be happening from tomorrow until Thursday. So, nothing today, but TR might be shown during these days. I mean, just look at the list of the media outlets that will be there:

Imagine all the promotion and attention TR would get if it was showcased! CD would be ****ing mad not to show TR!

On one hand it feel so unlikely that they'll present TR...

But on the other hand they haven't flat out denied it.

I feel like had this been earlier in the campaign we'd be more willing to believe it, but we've grown somewhat pessimistic.

I seriously don't expect anything before E3 anymore. It just won't worth waiting for nothing. They'll be there for sure, but we're unsure of everything else.

Actually, more like 8-9 months to go, if the release is October/November. I wouldn't say that was almost a whole year', if you want to be picky about the time scale :p.

If thats such a long time, then how come NINE months isn't enough time for the marketing campaign?

That's providing the marketing campaign re-starts up like now and not in June which is just 5 months from October - which is really cutting it fine, imo.

I doubt that seeing that we're supposed to have a gameplay trailer in early 2012. But marketing non-stop now until fall would be rather annoying. It would drive people from the game rather than attract them.
