Funny, cause a few days ago when I saw this early gameplay of Mafia 3 with a continuous scream of a random NPC girl screaming "OH MY GODDDDDD, oh my god" and that scream just glitches into a loop and the demo was ruined after that lol. This reminded me of that good time :vlol:

I know this may be far fetched, but did anyone had their TR Let's Plays claimed on YouTube by someone called "Epic Music VN"? I am really irritated by this because I don't usually monetise my videos. He/she claims he owns the right to the intro music that is played in the opening scene. As far as I know all rights go to Jason Graves, CD and Square Enix?

I don't know if I should file a dispute or just write him/her a message. Is it really possible for anyone to claim others videos? So frustrating…

[EDIT]: okay, this is more stupid than I thought it would be. After checking again: Epic Music VN isn't claiming the music, they are claiming the WHOLE intro video as their own "visual content". I've contacted the official Tomb Raider Facebook page about this.

So I have watched Tomb 'raider Legend cutscenes on youtube yesterday to remind myself of some events that happened there, I was really left thinking.

The Reboot itself in terms of story is nothing new.

The way I aw it, Tomb Raider Legend was just like some first drafts of a story you start writing.

Tomb Raider and Rise being its sequel, are the final outcome of a novel that has been corrected and re-constructed by professors and ready to be published...

but they are the same (different characters perhaps, but the very same story)

^ How so?

I see similarities in the broad strokes of the story:

• Lara's father is an archeologist who encourages her at a young age
• Lara's mother goes missing
• Lara's father devotes the rest of his life to research inspired by her disappearance/death
• Lara's father gets killed for his research but Lara doesn't know that
• Lara grows up and tries to complete her father's research
• Lara finds out what really happened and ends up avenging her father
• Lara saves the world

Having said that, the Rise version is much more detailed and I actually liked it, but at the same time I'm really ready to move on from her family and never speak of her parents again :p

Incidentally, when I played the Blood Ties DLC, I felt like there were a lot of similarities between the story of Lara's mother and classic Lara (like her mother had the arranged marriage, was in the plane crash, got disowned, etc.). I thought that was a very clever Easter egg :D I'm definitely fine with more Easter eggs like that in the manor if it comes back again. I'm just hoping for an original plot in the main game that won't retread Lara's family issues now that everything is finally settled.

Oh these things. Yeah, some things stay the same. :D
Sure I'm definitely ready for Tomb Raider's story to move past Lara's parents.

I have never.Ever.Rage quit in a game, no matter how bad the match is.
This multiplayer got me:
- People glitching up on the opposite team's spawn zone
-using trainers (both for aiming and health)

It's really rare to find good people to play with...smh

Not true.At least not in my case. Multiple times on the chat they admitted it, they were using some kind of program, for level up faster.
Also, if those things doesn't work, glitches are still there, along with players who are abusing them. The problem is, it's just ruining the fun, not just for the opposite team.

Since I can create private lobby, I don't mind that much, but when you have no friends online to play with (TR especially) you are kind of forced to go public.

There is no point cheating you will only ruin the game for everyone else get a person who you can private match with and you kill them repeadtly until the match is finished rinse and repeat. Easy level up.

You can also do the rescue mode, the one where you grab bags and take them back to a spot on the map? You can do that by yourself, since not everyone has something they can play with. I know the struggle. :(

Not a lot of my friends want to sit in a match and let me kill them for 2 hours, so doing solo boost is pretty much my only option, lol. :p

I'm replaying this game for the first time since it released and I'm actually surprisingly fond of it with a few omissions but overall I actually like it :p Colour me surprised.

I've asked this in SOTTR section, so I'm gonna ask here too: Which song would fit this game? Like, we got White Flag, I Shall Rise and Speak Loud for both ROTTR and SOTTR, so I'm planning on making a small "album" and I'm open for suggestions. :)

Do you like it better than your first playthrough then? It takes a little getting used to it, but as you progress you'll start appreciating the little things.

I didn't necessarily mind my first play through, I was quite enamored with it, and I still am somewhat. It could of been a really good game if Rihanna Pratchett had had her way, and the colour palette had more range than a puddle, but overall it's enjoyable.

I always thought ‘Survivor’ by 2WEI used in the new movie’s second trailer was a decent fit. :)

Yes, but it's too movie-ish if that makes sense? IDK, I'd like songs that would sound similar to the ones we got for ROTTR and SOTTR, like indie music or something?
Other than that, it really is perfect for TR movie. :)

I get what you mean. Maybe Crooked Heart, also by TRILLS? Idk, I’m not too familiar with some popular music, so I don’t have as good of a feel for this type of stuff.

After playing Shadow, I can honestly say this game still has the best set pieces of the whole trilogy.

oh yeah definitely. Though shadows set-pieces had a good smooth fluid flow to them, they will never beat how creative and intense TR2013's are.

totally agree. TR9 was the first game I played that utilised set pieces so much, it made it feel extremely cinematic to me.

Well, I have just finished playing this and it was a good action game, although I cannot think of it as a Tomb Raider game...

The puzzles aren't there (don't you dare saying any tomb at all had a "puzzle" challenging enough to past after the category of task), the atmosphere isn't there, feeling great after finnaly getting unstuck isn't there... I really liked the classics...

It is a good action game, and the fact that I played it with an Xbox controller on pc made it harder than I am usually used to playing keyboard and mouse.

Hope RotTR is better, going to give that one a try, shadow will be after.

Yup, thats the general consensus. A good game but not a good Tomb Raider game.

You'll like Rise and Shadow a lot more. They take all the basic gameplay elements from this game but add in a lot more classic elements. Shadow moreso than Rise but Rise also has a lot of classic elements. The jump in quality is very noticeable.

It depends. The gameplay got relatively better for Rise and especially Shadow but I can't with the stories and Lara's total lack of further development.

I really feel like 2013 ended on a good note where story is concerned, and even gameplay tbh. The last 1/4 was far more bearable than the middle with the ****ing non-stop shooting in Shanty Town. I played it again recently and if all of the game had been more like that last 1/4 I'd probably find it so much more redeemable.

They always seem to drop the ball somewhere though, across the whole trilogy, and it's such a shame because the elements are there. They just don't bring it together cohesively.

Why Lara gave a pistol to Sam, after escaping the palace?

Sam had one already, we can even see her using it, whilst she getting cornered in the court of the palace.
That was just...stupid.Like my question...

Its probably another cutscene error if that happens, like the magic grenade launche/guys who knock Lara, cant really remember the palace section myself.

That's just my opinion, but I think we have to search the root of this outside of the game; as you said within the game it doesn't make sense. So, I guess the answer sounds something like this: "so Lara can’t have it".
Someone/s really seems to be allergic to dual pistols when it comes to the reboot era.

I forgot how much shorter TR was compared to Rise and Shadow, I just bought DE a few days ago on the ps store for 7 bucks and been playing hard, already at the shanty town. Does anyone else miss the dirt throw skill?
