As much as I adore Thermal Shock (such an awesome track!), it didn't feel right to extend that one for the whole TR9 part, which turned out to be the biggest part of the slideshow (the most entries we received in the competition were of TR9 - a whopping 155, which translated to a ca. 13 minute section ) and because at this point not a lot of the official music has been released yet, I already had to extend TS quite a bit near the end :D But I have to say kudos on your fan music. It sounds really great and it complimented the fan art very nice :tmb: Are you a musician by trade, yourself? |
Why's Driber here?

Why wouldn't he be here? Just because he's the Admin at the Eidos board doesn't mean he's actually evil :p |

Oh I forgot Driber is Spong's old friend. He can lend him the password, no need to hack. :o |

I'm curious, it sounds like she's saying bring enough? Her voice breaks off so it's hard to tell. Oh well. |

http://up13.up-images.com/up/viewimages/d95bd12cb7.bmp Edit : forget about the Wolf , look to Lara's hands LOL . |
There are so many things wrong with that pic.
A) She's not holding the arrow B) The arrow is backwards C) The wolf looks fake |
I think the wolf looks great, the arrow could be broken and better used backwards, the only issue to me is the hand thing but I still don't really care because it's like, 2 seconds.

To be honest I think the game will be a lot further a long than the stuff they have been showing to the press which is only really to give a rough idea of what the final product will be like. Everyone knows what is show is not representative of the finished game. Even if that is how it looks now, we know why they pushed it back that extra four to six months.
|
Can you imagine how cool it would be if this happen every time you pause a game?

i miss those days :( |

http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g.../jumpyjooo.jpg I was playing AOD the other day and it hurt so bad, I'm now dead. In other news, am I the only one who thinks reboot Lara's jump is sort of similar to the AOD sprint jump? I wonder if we've seen Lara do a srint jump? As we know she can sprint in the game, but I'm not sure if she has a sprint jump or if we've even seen her sprint. |
Yes.
I don't know if the jump distance (and animation) will depend on where you jump from/to (scripted, I mean) or on your actions. I hope for the latter, naturally, but it's not very clear to me at the moment. |
I don't think it can be scripted if we have steering in mid air.
Unless I misunderstand you, I think her jump distance is fixed with no suction or magnetism because that wouldn't work at all with the ability to steer Lara's body or torso. I hope we have a sprint jump which we activate by running and using sprint. |
I mean that the game 'knows' the distance, and you just run towards the gap or whatever and press jump. Lara will make a small jump or a long jump (with different animations, of course), depending on how far the jump is, without any different imput from the player. Like in every Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raider game (I think you could hold the jump button to make her jump further in Anniversary and maybe in the others as well, though, not sure). The steering is just to adjust her position horizontally so that if you aimed the jump wrong, you can still correct it a bit. I cannot imagine that there will be no magnetism at all, but I can't wait to be proven wrong. :-))
About the 'super jump', maybe it's something to unlock by upgrading, you could execute it by tapping the jump button twice. Maybe. I doubt that you need to run back and then come back sprinting. Too much trouble for modern gamers. |
All of her jumps seem to be the same in the videos I've seen.
Hopefully there is no suction, but I then wonder about jumping to thin balance beams, no sucition might make that hard. lawd. IDK. My brain hurts. I imagined we'd be steering her like normally, plus someone said you can pull her back a bit when jumping through the air, or something to shorten the jump. |

We had scripted jumps in Anniversary.
