Anyone know approximately when the collector's edition will be available for pre-order?

You are kidding, right? :p I think it will only ever be available to pre-order when it's officially, 100% confirmed and when all the details about it are revealed (like, what it comes with and that). It will be a while, me thinks.

Of course I know it's not confirmed and that it will be a while. I was just wondering when it would theoretically be available for pre-order, if someone knows when that usually happens.

Oh, right. A month or two before it's release? IDK. :p

Yeah it'd be a good opportunity to show Tomb Raider but unfortunately it's just for recruiting folks for the new title. :(

I Googled SXSW and it seems a bit random that they're going there :confused:. Maybe the GDC thing is for recruiting, but maybe they still need to show what's currently being worked on - Tomb Raider, to show off Crystal's capabilities and to generate interest in the company/it's work? I dunno how things work :p. Also, the timing of it could coincide with the timing of new media. Surely CD are capable of doing two things at once.

Um, I think it's been confirmed there will be no official live model for the new Lara, which I am happy with, because the models were nothing, but ridiculous and money wasting.

Cosplaying is different than official modeling.

Well, as they said we'll see the gameplay trailer in early 2012 and E3 is in June, it would make sense to show the trailer at GDC, wouldn't it? But then again, they don't need any event to release the trailer...

But an event where people sometimes expect to hear of more media would help boost attention for a possible trailer.

If there really is no event between GDC and E3, then I would expect the gameplay trailer to be revealed in the next few days. They said early 2012 - it is now. There is going to be an event - GDC. E3 is in June, which is not early 2012. So, let's wait and see...

Well hopefully CD show something, it would be a crime not to. We've made it so far.

It really is the highest time. But then again as you LF25 (or someone else? IDK) said, developers usually make gameplay trailers when the game is polished or at least in beta stage, which TR probably is not yet. I'm confused...I don't really know.

I've just checked the exhibitors list and Square-Enix is not there, nor Crystal Dynamics. Our chances are small, I think.

I'm sure it'll be at least another month before we see anything else. It is a little funny that two new Assassin's Creed game have been announced since TR's announcement, though. :p

Probably? Exactly, more like. People can say that Ubisoft over promote their games and it spoils it, blah blah blah, but at the end the day, their games still sell millions of units.

None of us will hold a grudge long enough to not buy the game.

People have heard about and will hear about the game, I'm positive.

I don't think we're even going to care about sales as much, as a fan base. I'd rather CD/ SE not even share those with us.

We won't, but I'm not so sure about everyone else.

And I do care about sales. High sales means the game is successful and makes the company more money to make more games, so of course I care about that and so should everyone else, imo.
