STEAM, please unlock the game, what's the point of waiting till 5th when like half of the world is already playing it. It's not fair. So much people got the pc version yet they can't play it cause it's locked yet, console user are playing it. And don't go with all: U GOT NICE WEAVUZZZ, LOLZ #hair

It’s literally only five days early...we should reward ourselves for waiting, not cry and cancel our pre-orders.

Why? it's not got anything to do with Crystal or Sqaure. The shops decided to break the contract!

Plus, most PC players can't if they pre-ordered through Steam! :p

You could always play through Legend while you wait, it's kinda like TR9 but with a lot more exploration and a lot less shooting. And you can just add Lara's moans & groans yourself as you play, although I wouldn't do it too loudly, your folks might think you've gone a bit...weird :pi:

EB Games Australia got permission from SE and CD to release it four days early :p picking up my copy in 10 hours! :jmp:

Source? Going off anything Jay said you should be telling him if they are releasing it early as they shouldn't!

SE probably gave permission to retailers. After all - the game is being sold everywhere anyways. And working against that would cost money - so instead releasing the game early (on consoles) is cheaper.

Sucks for the ppl that pre-ordered on Steam though. :( I want that game

As I said before if the shop chose to brek the agreement they no one should cancel pre-orders but as soon as Square does it then I think it's perfectly justified. We all payed to receieve the game on the 5th. 7-5 days before launch half of us have already started playing...nice way to treat your fanbases :tmb: :p

Steam is just mega flop.

If they really let us pre-load the game at the weekend Ill be annoyed. That would be trolling - we'd have the game on our machines and couldnt play it while console players are given the chance to play it legally early.

Also -- I am 100% the MP servers of the console version are already up seeing how SE appearantly allowed that the game is being sold..

lol @ the steam forums. Alot of people complaining that they were able to buy their copies early (legally) and are not able to activate it yet. Square Enix HAS to do something.

Yeah, the servers are up. It's dumb, they shouldn't be up till launch :p but....yeah!

This is a great example of a game launch gone wrong. I never experienced such a messy launch ever. There were quite a few bad ones but this? lol.

So basicly, console versions are released with MP servers up and everything, yet PC version is just being locked and flop and people have copies but can't play them?

Agreed, this is the worst launch I've ever witnessed. It's quite sad...you'd think Square would be able to handle a simple launch after all the games they've published. *sigh*

Well hopefully it's a sign of high demand since the stores seem to go over themselves to sell it before competition.

Seeing how "epic" launch trailer is, I'm not so suprised. They've had excellent marketing campaing and now this mess.

Steam preload starts today at 5pm (UK time) if anyone is interested.

So we'll basically have the whole game on our HDD over the weekend unable to play :tmb:

But I guess.. A few days of waiting aren't really that much of a big deal.

Hopefully they will learn from this experience!

At least they are pre-loading way in advanced. It kinda works in my favour as I'm not here for most part of the weekend. So, I'll need to get it downloaded when I get back on Saturday evening!

I'm not into steam very much, so this means you'll have the full game on your HDD but it would be like you don't have it at all?
If this is the case, then, great job for CE for stopping the leak and making a lot of your PC players dissapointed. :tmb:
