omg yes, they need to keep the ripping clothes. It's a must.

Though the character designer said during the GOL era that Lara does not wear jeans, sooo....._.

Wait, what? He said this during the GoL era about Reboot Lara?

James_Rutland 27-05-13 22:05

Lara should wear jeans in a casual setting. She's more human now, so she doesn't run around in shorts 70% of the time. :)

I love your designs btw. More :cln:

Also, I think the jeans would suit Lara more if they were tight, like skinny fit :)

I think he meant in general, as we didn't know about reboot Lara then (aside from the leaked concepts).

Well then, I doubt he meant Reboot Lara. ;p

But even so, saying that about LAU/GoL Lara (or even Reboot Lara) is strange. I can easily imagine Lara wearing jeans. Maybe they were just trying to avoid any relation to AoD Lara. IDK. :p

I kind of don't like LAU Lara's sense of style anymore. It was so...IDK...she was like...a hot mom or something.

Wearing an "official" sport outfit, all professional and stuff. There was nothing chill about her wardrobe.

So I hope this Lara wears jeans.

Mikky 27-05-13 22:16

"Hot mom". I never even thought of it like that before, but I totally see it now. :vlol:

Yeah, this Lara should definitely have a more casual, "chilled-out" look. It would make more sense considering her age. Which I think they really achieved with the main outfit and design in this game.

Jeans are so uncormfortable. No way you can freely move around in jeans, unless they're baggy, and even then still uncomfortable.

Cargo pants/ shorts are the most practical.

italibabee 27-05-13 23:55

Skinny jeans are comfortable.
I can go tomb raiding in them.
Totally.

larafan25 27-05-13 23:57

If the crotch is high enough in the jeans, I can move in them.

Well, literally speaking.

Not to mention there is a move where he jumps and kicks the mercs in the face before falling to the ground.

Not that Nathan Drake is out benchmark for realism. But who cares.

spyrostr 28-05-13 00:14

well i mean when u are in a fighting position
in both pics he cant hit anyone in the face
especially in the second one where the jeans are preventing him from kicking higher :p

it's also EXTREMELY heavy when wet!

What are you talking about, jeans do not interfere with how much you can stretch your legs. I can move about and stretch the same when wearing a pair of jeans or a trascksuit. Except if the jeans are 1-3 sizes smaller, then your crotch will be in pain (propably... haven't tried that) .

The only difference is (like Billy959 mentioned) that they are too heavy when wet.

Anybody still waiting for the day CeeDee releases some Tombs and SP DLC?
My wallets wants to explode.
I need SP DLC.

_Ninja_ 28-05-13 13:12

^ Unfortunately I don't think that will happen.

We can hope and pray but I don't think we will be getting that. They were more focused on MP DLC ect.
An I think the only reason we got Outfit DLC was because we were moaning MP was getting everything.

**** no! I'm more than happy the way DLC turned out. The disk I ordered has almost everything, the way it should be.

It's still Eidos Montréal that released the MP levels, not CD. CD is probably focusing on their new games, that's why they weren't bothered to make much SP DLC, in my opinion.

BioShock, Tomb Raider writer calls for 'thoughtful and complex' game stories

Rai 28-05-13 23:07

What's so funny? On her website she has Tomb Raider under her portfolio.

I noticed that, but this is the first time I've heard about another writer. I thought it was just Rhianna Pratchett who worked on the game. IMDB doesn't credit her either... did anyone notice her name in the game's credits?

But I completely agree with her in the article, I imagine if indeed she did work on the TR, it wasn't entirely the writers' (Rhianna and Susan?) fault for delivering a weak story. The industry just doesn't give enough attention to that aspect of the game.

larafan25 28-05-13 23:42

Maybe she worked on the series, not the reboot? :/

dream raider 28-05-13 23:42

The portfolio shows the reboot.

Thanks! :tmb:

Such a shame because both of them aren't bad writers at all, Rhianna co-wrote Heavenly Sword which I loved, and Susan, Bioshock. I really hope in the next one they give more time and care to the writing part. It's really brave of Susan to come out and admit that, even though she wasn't specific about why she wants to leave the industry, she admits the success of her games but for her it just doesn't 'cut it.' Same for me. :p

Stevo505 28-05-13 23:49

Never heard of her. If she doesn't like writing for games then she needs to get out.

dream raider 28-05-13 23:51

Someone hasn't read the article... :mis:
