Hopefully they cover all the BS they want to in the comics so we can move on and get a better written sequel

Yikes. They still aren't done with those crappy characters and that halfbaked origin story? Hopes for the sequel tumbling already.
|
Y THE ****. i THIS **** just hidden away in here? Is that really the cover?
That description kind of seem like every fan speculation, ever posted. I wonder where this is leading. |

Like. I kind of. Hm. Do you think the comic is going to gently fizzle out the last plotline and introduce the next story. Or do you really think the crew and Yamatai are going to be directly connected to the next game?
|
I personally think there won't be any TR sequel story hints. They will again try to keep the story secret. The only thing they'll reveal is going to be the location(s) for the sequel. No story plot, no nothing...I seriously think the comic will be waste of players money and time.
|
I thought the comics were going to be like... a real thingy though. Comics. Like, a new Tomb Raider comic series.
|
They're experiencing horrific visions? Seriously? They couldn't make it sound more cliché and unoriginal if they tried. :/
|
Sounds like Lara and the crew are going through Post-traumatic stress, very hunger games. :p

But it's logical to think that, at least in the last issue leading up to the game, we'll get a clue or two about where Lara is heading. :p
Unless she's just like, "I changed my mind - I am going home. TBH." Fans be like, "omg, Crof manur!!111!" Then they turn the page and she says, "Lul, just kidding. U mad?" |
I like the way the first two comics are reflecting back on what happened on Yamatai and how the crew that survived are coping. Makes sense, imo. As more comics become available, presumably they'll gradually lead into the next adventure. The comics cover the time in between.
Anyhoo, Tomb Raider has won a Readers Choice award for Biggest Surprise of the year over on Kotaku. |
Why do I always scroll down to the comments section? Bad habit I've developed..

I was playing AOD yesterday, and I went from Serpent Rouge to Bouchard's Hideout or whatever, and when I got the the first conversation with Bouchard, I was feeling so pissy, I kept choosing the most rude things for Lara to say, and was so into how badly she was speaking to him, and then like... in the most strange, slow-motion sequence, in which I did not see it coming but was totally paying attention, he pulls out a gun, points it at me, and ****ing kills me! D:
wtf. I didn't know I could die if I chose the wrong stuff. edit: I REALLY want an artifact we can use in the next game. it might not even be a weapon, but something we can use. if it's not a weapon, then an artifact which provides Lara with some sort of special shield or something. SOMETHING a lil fantastical. |

Anyway, Crystal would never go for that, it'd ruin the most important part of the game (the shooting). |

Because an ancient shaman queen stuck in a rotting corpse controlling the weather and in need of a host to transfer her soul into was very realistic :whi: The actual focus of plot was actually no different to the LAU trilogy when you examine it, they both dealt with mystical beings based on real ancient legends, which is just another reason i found the plot reboot so unnecessary.

the similarity between AOD and TR2013 is that they are different to TR franchise , but when we compare them as "games" we find out that the difference is like the difference between poop and roast beef  |

I'm happy they didn't go the Uncharted route were every myth has this explainable 'realistic' thing. |

Apologies if this is old hat, I had a bit of a look and couldn't find any particular mention of it...when did the updates for the Xbox 360 version come out, and is there a full list of them? I've just got my live account up and running again, and when I put TR in the machine it asked if I wanted to install updates. Didn't think anything of it, but upon playing the game there's loads of little tweaks here and there, which is making the game totally replayable (5th playthrough for me now). What I've noticed is...
1) Lara side-vaulting over obstacles - don't remember her doing that before. 2) More spectacular Solarii deaths. 3) A slightly jerkier aspect to Lara's general movement through the game, I can't tell if she's been sped up or re-animated but it definitely doesn't seem quite as smooth, can't quite put my finger on it. 4) Quicker traversing of rope 'bridges'. I definitely noticed this a couple of times, but then it seemed to slow down, or return to 'normal', on the next couple. Is it all my imagination? What else can I expect to see? |
The side-vaulting over obstacles has been since the beginning. Though it's unnecessary. :pi:
|
I wonder . When they'll reveal about TR sequel? E3 2014 ? probably no 2015 I guess.
