Maybe the team only had access to the mobile platform.

I don't think it's fair to drag on the game when it's not out yet and we don't know much about it.

It's TRF, reddit and twitter are far more positive.

Well doing spinoffs on mobiles is being done across most popular franchises these days, so I think its completely fair. I do think its a bit early to say whether they're trying to keep classic Lara and future Lara separate, because this could indicate that they may be returning to more classic feel overall.

But I understand the skepticism around here right now, its not like SE is the most communicative company, nor have they really been fair on classic fans for the past... 7 or so years. Then we have had a lot of stupid statements over the past few years, such as 'forget everything you know about Lara', 'no more shorts, dual guns, or dinosaurs' etc etc

They're actually not. I've been onto the TR subreddit and the reaction is very much similar to here. Mixed at best, some people saying they'll try it but they're not crazy about the idea and others who are just saying this is dumb as ****.

As for that Tweet, he could be hinting at literally any game, not just TR ones.

That said I kind of agree. I don't think this game deserves to be downvote-bombed and met with this negative reception at all. I think people are just tired of asking CD/SE to do classic-inspired games that are actually somewhat promoted, higher-budget and mean something. They don't expect much at this point. They're totally expecting this to be all there is for the 25th anniversary and with good reason given the past decade of this franchise, and seeing that it's "just a mobile game" is understandably annoying.
