On topic, CD seems gone quite too much suddenly. Meagan isn't visiting TRF for quite a while. Weather usually get too low before a big storm. We might be going to get something as they are too quite. Maybe that GameMaster preview on 22nd? Only 10 days untill that. I hope Karl's "Pre-E3 tweet" means gaming magazine previews as well. :)

What? GameMaster preview? Where did you read that? I didn´t notice.
And I doubt there will be any pre-E3 magazine previews, as the guy from Play said nothing new until E3 as they pushed their stuff back. :(

Magazines what will be releases this month, they must have already finished articles at least month ago...so Karl was all week in London and he did "pre-E3 thing" but definitely nothing relevant with magazines

Remember that Tweet of Karl two months ago? He said he have to go London 4 times before E3. This is probably his 3rd time. He also said this week that he is going to SF tomorrow and return in London in 10 days time. ;)

Few magazines releases around 6-10 of each month and few releases around 20-22 dateline. :)

The super duper yay Sony loves us world exclusive was delayed, do not count on seeing any magazine coverage with new material before E3.
I never pay much attention to pre-E3 events since Tomb Raider is not usually involved, but last year to get us hyped the CGI trailer was released before E3, maybe this time we get the gameplay trailer. I would think that would get fans and gamers fairly excited to see more at E3.

We were told the first gameplay we saw was the start of the game, all that is going to come before that is cutscenes, which will probably show most of what happened before Lara wakes up in the cave. Not sure what you are asking there CrisSioux. The CGI trailer was not necessarily showing events from the game, or events that all happened before we start playing. It was a CGI trailer.

Yes, the game starts with Lara hanging upside down like in the E3 demo. There's a whole cutscene before that though, so we'll see how exactly she got there. And the trailer is not named Turning Point just for the sake of it. First we see Lara on the ship, then the storm accident, and then there's supposed to be some time gasp and when we see Lara with the bow on the beach, she already was some time on the island, it's not right after the crash.

I wouldn't. It's just beat up Lara's face and gives nothing of the game. TRU had dirty/almost headless Lara, I don't want just her face all over the cover. It probably will be though.

I agree with the idea that it's just a head and we could have something so much more interesting, but I'm just surprised with myself at how pleased I am seeing that image on a box art every once and a while.

Though maybe an image of the endurance or wrecked ships would be neat to see.

Something without Lara one day would be nice.

Well it [I]is[/I] nice to see an actual box on the shelf, even if only a place-holder :p. A cover without Lara? Hmm, I dunno, maybe in the future, maybe something of the environments. Won't be for a long while, what with CD putting Lara as the star as they do.

Would be strange but fresh to see a crew of people from the game standing on the cover, with Lara standing in front of them.

I've sort of wanted Lara to be in the position of leading an expedition herself with other people.

HMV have updated their site to October 5th too. I know this is a place holder but I think the release date is definitely just around the corner with all these new dates popping up at the same time. :)

As much as I would love the Day One render to be the cover, I wouldn't mind that placeholder cover too. Her face will attract people for sure. Even the cover is a part of their marketing plan.

I'd love the face as the cover it's the perfect way to signal the start of a new franchise and re-imagining of Crystal's Lara.

Hitman is already a high risk in November. I doubt that they will risk tomb raider too.
Halo4 and the new CoD are the really big ones and nobody would care about the small fishes like Tr and Hitman at all.
