Yeah, there's obviously some sort of light humor in that screen. Unless it was an ingame shot done just for magazines and stuff but I doubt that.

I don't think she's laughing, I think it's a cross between embarrassed/ being smug or feeling flattered. I bet it's right out of the scene where Roth tries to cheer her up and tells her she's croft, etc...

edit: But I do think there will be some humor between Lara and other characters such as Roth, it would feel kind of dead otherwise.

Look at his crows feet and his mouth. He's obviously smiling compared to the second screen you showed.

Yep, he's smiling, but not smiling, he's smiling. People make smiles without necessarily "smiling", it's probably just caght at that moment, he's probably not yelling at her, talking down to her, or anything, but I don't think he's laughing either.

He's definitely laughing at something genuinely. Speaking in terms of body language, the side the of the eyes don't squint unless you're generally laughing, smiling. It doesn't happen when you just widen your lips.

His crows feet look the same in both screenshots. :/

I'm pretty sure those are stumbles. They look similar to underworld's stumble, which was a great animation.

Did anyone ever notice in the gameplay demo, when Lara exits the cavern and sees all the ships, there are several birds circling in spots on the island? There were two groups of circling birds. That's usually a sign that something is dead. I wonder what killed whatever the birds are scavenging for.
