Which is why I think that changing Lara from tall to short was a stupid move. I mean why would she be short anyway?

Small women can take out larger enemies (Nina and Anna from Tekken are assassins and they are shorter from TReboot Lara) so long they are experienced which Lara certainly isn't, which leads me to believe (I almost typed beliebe :vlol: ) that as the game progresses she'll be able to execute stealth attacks and others tasks a lot easier ( "I feel stronga now!" ) :tmb: .

Karl has lied a lot about many stuff, I'm almost sure that they will be in the game :p !

They seem to appear whenever something important happens during the game, and they were also present in concept art. I wonder if they have any significance, perhaps metaphorically.

Crows are rally good spies :pi: ... (no kidding)

I object to Lara being described as short! Accodring to Brian Horton who designed her (for this game at any rate), she's 5'6 Five foot six inches. That is not short, it is above average in UK. As a fellow 5'6er I have a right to claim my almost tallness!

[/insecure height rant :p] Erm...back on topic...:pi:

But she is :p . I don't know about UK but 1.68 is generally considered short. 1.70 - 1.75 (TRilogy Lara's height) cm is average and 1.76 - 1.80+ (Classic and AoD Lara's height) is tall. 1.80 m was a bit too much but 1.75 was almost tall and a rather good height for a woman, why did they change it?! ... oh, right, so that she looks more vulnerable (a.k.a. bull****) ...

This is true if Lara was a man

Actually no, I might exagerate a bit but 1.68 is definately short compared to her previous flawless 1.75 and no, 1.75 is definately NOT considered tall for men, it's average o_O ...!

To be honest, if she was 1.72 I'd be perfectly fine with it but 1.68 is not enough D: !

Well of course above average is short compared to tall and no one said 1.75 is tall for men :pi:

I agree 168 is short, and being that short is ridiculous considering that she takes out mercenaries double her hight and weight. It would be ok if she was trained for combat, but isn't she suppoused to be helpless and innocent in this one?

I don't think that in the classics she was supposed to be 1.80, but I do remember reading somewhere that Lara in AoD was indeed 1.80. That would be too tall to be honest. Reboot Lara has the perfect everything, even the perfect height, but it's just that she performs these finishers as if she was a pro. It diminishes the mood of the game for me. It's like the scavengers should be afraid of her and not the other hand. I would be totally fine with this, if she was experienced, well if she was "Teflon Lara"... But as I have said, she looks to me more Teflon than ever.. but in the shell of an apparent weakling.

She was, her height was 1.80 in the Classics and like you said she was 1.80 in AoD too, AoD is closely connected with Last Revelation and Chronicles (two classics) , why would they randomly change her height :p ? (well CD later did that, twice, but TRilogy was a recreation of Lara and TReboot is a reboot so... ) but 1.80 was too tall indeed and 1.75 was flawless.

I still dislike her current height more than anythi... no, wait, more than many things but not anything! , and the whole point was for Lara to look inferior to the scavengers yet she slaughters them like a pro... in my opinion Crystal just needed an exuse for the height change which would later on defy anyway -_- ...

I think she's meant to be inexperienced in the ways of tomb raiding/adventuring. She's had some training in archery and gymnastics, so she's possibly built up some strength in these activities. She's still athletic, so she's not entirely helpless and innocent. Also, considering she's worked in a bar (the Nine Bells or something), she's possibly had to control unruly customers, maybe even physically subdue them?

I still feel that the 'finishers' we've seen have been taken out of context in the videos, somewhat. It may seem unealistic, but it's not something I'm going to be too worried about as I play.
