Originally, she was meant to be Steph (hence Lara saying "Oh God! Steph, what did he do to you?" ) but then the Steph part and the part were Lara reunites with Sam were redone, maybe other parts of the game too, and Steph was scrapped.

Another memmber thought that the reason they scrapped her was because her death wouldn't have any effect on the player, since we hadn't met her before, while all of the otehr crew memmbers die after we've met them via Sam's videos, therefore their deaths are more touching. This is just speculation but in my opinion it's the most possible explaination.

The woman in the cave is indeed Steph. The model is exactly the same from the early demo, where Lara actually calls it Steph. CD just removed the dialogue, and any mention of her throughout the game. But it's still Steph.

That's what I thought too, but then I rewatched the E3 2011 demo and she doesn't mention Steph at all, she says "What happened to you?", like in the release version.

Maybe I didn't look at the right demo though? :confused:

Since there's no official main theme I made one using some of the OST from the game. What do you guys think?

It's weird to see the line wasn't in the gameplay demo of E3 2011/12, yet only present in the crossroad trailer.
