In some ways it could be dead, and maybe is.
But what I've found is the original games are unfortunately not as extreme as I've come to desire for TR, so in most respects this game is actually not such a departure from the past TR games, aside from the tone and themes being expresed, and the entire combat system, and some other stuff. Tomb Raider may or may not be dead. I could tell you which, but it's a secret and I'd have to kill you all afterwards :pi:

I guess i will have to find a new hero :(

You know the saying, don't fix something that isn't broken? Well, honestly the Tomb Raider franchise was broken in 2003 and they had to fix it. It was the only way we could get more Tomb Raider games— You can like it or you can not like it, but it had to be fixed.

^mmmm. In some ways. AOD didn't seem like a broken Tomb Raider formula, more like a broken game, or experience. Whereas the reboot might just be the opposite, a near-perfect experience, a great polished game, but the TR formula may suffer or be broken.

I mean. Young Lara waged a war against a psycho cult and an army of ancient warriors. I doubt you're too much of a hassle to protect. |
