Ok, so I was walking outside and it was raining and I saw lightning from a distance and I thought:
Since there are chances of getting stuck by lightning, should there be chances of Lara being struck by one in the game while it's raining? :mis: Would add more realism tbh. |
I think Lara gets beat up enough. :vlol:

I'm back and I know y'all probably heard that I was going to post some exclusive footage today - I really had planned that until I received a pm from Meagan on the Eidos forums. She was really surprised that I had the footage but glad that I didn't publish it online and I promised her that i'll keep it for myself since it was put up online accidentally, I was just lucky enough to find it and save it.
I'm not allowed to post it until December 4th, I think you guys can wait a few more days right? I know some of you will be skeptical and not believe me but I already have the video uploaded on youtube and set it on private so when it's officially revealed i'll have the proof and you can look on the date when it was uploaded. That's all and sorry again for getting some of your hopes up, at least we got the new episode of the final hours! :jmp: |
Spoiler alert to everyone from now. I don't want to know the half of the game, even I am really excited.

But the chances should be very slim, but very high when it's raining and you're on a mountain. |

A German gaming site got to play the first 3 hours, very positive review.
Some stuff they said: -The controls & animations are smooth -Platforming is fun and doesn't get boring -Story is linear but the hubs are big and there are many hidden secrets and side tombs -Combat plays a bigger role than in the previous TR games but it's not the main element of the game. -You can skip gun fights with stealth -There is no button to take cover, just go near the object and Lara will take cover. -Less & shorter QTE's later in the game -Amazing visuals, the environments have lots of details and feel alive -Lara's animations are way more realistic than in previous TR games. -There's not much moaning like shown in the trailers - only when necessary and it's not overdone -Impressive cinematics We know most of those things but it still got me excited! :jmp: |
Wow Peep Show! You should make a thread about it. :ton:
|
ok so I'm downloading the 3 final hours episodes, but what actually is it? It's not the last 20 minutes of the game is it? If not, why the **** is it called final hours?

It should be hosted by Jamie East. :tmb: |

Sure, why not? It's as good an explanation as any. Quote:

Crystal are proud of the game they're making, i am proud to be a part of it too.. Thats why WE care.. you may seem to not grasp how actually passionate about this we all our, but believe me there is a reason for everything.. Quote:
@Phlip - Its called the `Final Hours` as its series of shows based around the `final stages of development`.. 1 game a year is picked to have a show made about it.. They picked Tomb Raider for this year.. :) |

No? You can't be that passionate then :pi: Also, I knew the reason behind the Crossroads title, but I didn't want to draw attention to it because it merely underlines the point I was making about devs being pretentious :p Quote:

Jaywalker, yeah I kinda grasped it was something to do with the end development. :p |

i REALLY would love for you to work in an industry or job where you had someone like yourself commenting on YOUR product.. how long do you think you'd last? ;) |
Quote:
Also, the "put yourself in my place"-argument feels a little childish, Jaywalker. In this world, you're supposed to be developing a game (or something of the like, I'm not sure what your job is :B), and we are the people who will be judging that game. For what it's worth, I couldn't do it :p But I feel that Spong criticisms have merit to them at times. |

Don't get me wrong everyone, I'm still hyped up for the game but I just don't find intresting in looooooooooooooong talks about the game with very few footage, even if they revealed something very intresting but in the form of an interview or with no footage my reaction would be ten times smaller than my actual/proper one if I had seen it in a video. |

But fair enough, scratch the idea of staff wages for charity, just give the game away for free then. With passion comes confidence, and nothing says confidence more than giving a product away for nothing. But of course, you can't do that because SquEnix/Crystal are businesses, they're in it for the money. And therein lies truth and the actual goal of all this passion, it's all being channelled to get us to part with our cash, not because of a genuine love that people want to share. I don't disparage a company for that though, it's their purpose, just don't try and cover it with false veils and smugly named videos :pi: Quote:
The thing is though, when someone disagreed with me, I didn't try to elevate myself above them by insinuating they had no clue because they weren't 'on the inside'. That's just being cheeky :p Quote:

I agree that his commentary was a bit on the awkward side this time though. |
guys stop please! I can understand critics, but this is just blaming! Enjoy your life a little bit more :)

A critic/review's purpose is for the person/object that is being criticized/reviewed to know how people see them/it and try to become better. The chances of Zachary Levi or CD to ever see my posts are few to none, but I shall still talk about something when I feel like it. |
