Are there any Bugs in this Game, like Spiders or Rats or Bats or Cobwebs or Moths, or any little Insects.

Looking at some Youtube Videos, there are Caves and Rooms that just looks a little bit to clean.

Heartache 06-03-13 12:52

thousands of rats :D

_Ninja_ 06-03-13 12:53

There are rats. Which are a real pain to try and shoot btw. Birds. I also saw butterflies. The island is definitely not 'clean' though.

I somehow shot two rats at once with the bow. God alone knows how I did it, but I did :D

And they were carrying salvage, just like the chickens I shot. They're all obviously raised on a diet of nuts & bolts :p

You seem to enjoy the game, who would've thought. :pi:

You have to remember that it's still Spong we're talking about. :pi:

I thought the bell puzzle in the temple thing at the top of the mountain was pretty awesome

Heckler 06-03-13 13:20

After 16 hours on my first playthrough I can honestly say this is the best TR. Completely new direction. Emotional, dynamic, Extremely addictive! Storyline was great! Graphics were amazing! Tressfx is mindblowing! :yik:

My first impression in the first 3 hours or so was that it was quite reminiscent of the Uncharted series, but then things started to get good, Tomb Raider good!

I didn't like the inclusion of other characters at first but the way they were implemented was really great!

I love the new Lara. Being a classic TR fanatic I didn't even care about the exclusion of the dual pistols and the signature look. (The little part with the pistols made me squeal like a 7 year old Hanna Montana fangirl though....:jmp:)

I like to see myself as a hardcore gamer as I enjoy all types of games and this was not only a great Tomb Raider game, but also a great game in general.

That's how you save a franchise CD! :tmb: Thank you so much!

Well I'm still in the beginning of the game, while I do like the bow and arrow, the game would be so much easier with my two bitties. Doesn't this game have auto aim?

Nope. The death of auto-aim and ridiculous unlimited ammo makes it more realistic, challenging, fun and adds to the survival thrill. :D

motoleo 06-03-13 13:48

That's why I'm not good at combat. Especially when the wolves attack, the camera just goes up in the air and I'm like

Apparently, you can use aim assist in the options. Once you aim at an enemy Lara will track them herself so long as you don't touch the stick. I've not used it myself, but I recall seeing Jay recommend it to someone else having the same trouble as you.

I may have to use that because they keep moving. And if they hit you, you just loose focus completely. I just wanted to get some dual pistols and blow them away!

Today for the first time in a long while, I had that feeling of literally not being able to wait to get home so I could play Tomb Raider. I have a 45 minute drive to and from university and all the way home I was just thinking about getting in and playing TR again.

Think last time I was like this was when I was about 12 and playing through TR3, I remember sitting in a Geography lesson in school and, instead of doing my work, I was making a list of notes on what I should do/where I should go next in the first London level. :D

You Sir...reminded me of my school days . I used to do that only and i use to pray that we get free period today so i could move to my Friends desk and discuss with him. We use make a rough sketch of the area where we use to get stuck and discuss what are we missing.

Same here. I tried ringing the bell several times with and without wind before I realized what to do :p. I'm sure survival instinct would of gave away the solution right away but I didn't use it. I ended up figuring out what to do by accident. Easy solution too :hea:.

JayB18 06-03-13 14:39

Just reached Shanty town after 9 hours. Tons to explore and do in the mountain village hub. So far combat hasn't really been all that prominent. I have spent much more time just platforming and exploring. PLatforming and climbing is MUCH less restrictive and better done than LAU.

daventry 06-03-13 14:44

Just wondering on these Youtube Walkthrough Parts, why do they not give a Link for a Full Package so we can Download it instead of Uploading Parts with People that has Slow Internet.

It took me around 18 hours. :)

I'm I the only one that expected Lara to have the dual pistols when you finish the game?
(I mean when you get back to the island and search for treasures you left behind) :o

LegendLuvr24 06-03-13 15:51

Anyone find any hidden moves like a swan dive, handstand or anything like that? I miss jumping head first into a ravine lol.

_Tomb_Raider 06-03-13 16:14

I am right now before Endurance level and I found Alexs document and I'm so happy he's in looove with Lara, I want them to be together... But I know it won't happend. :( oh and the Roth death scene was MINDBLOWING amazing may I add.

coolaideonfire 06-03-13 16:14

Not enjoying the combat very much - I don't think it happens too often or that it's too prominent; but I find it fiddly. I preferred the lock-aim from previous games (is there a way to do this or something similar?) so I didn't have to continously ensure my target is on the enemy whilst dodging other attacks.

Quick time events are pretty annoying.

Otherwise, the graphics, locations, platforming and exploring are all A+.

Quick time events? I take it you are somewhere at first few hours of so of the game - because at the part where I'm now, there are none QTE that I even forgot about them :ton: So don't worry.
Yeah, I do agree that there is maybe a little bit too much of combat - but I don't mind - I suggest to put on easy mode it will help to finish combats parts of the game much faster since there is no option to put lock-aim. ;)

Lukass 06-03-13 16:31

Does she take the bow off (not aim) her back herself or the player does it?

I am near the start, indeed! Just started this afternoon... glad to hear the QTE's die down eventually. They're such a nuisance gaming feature. I derive no joy from mashing buttons or pressing them in a specific sequence. :D

What do you mean?

Peep Show 06-03-13 16:36

I don't know why so many people are struggling with the combat lol, I had no problems even on hard but you guys can just change the difficulty to easy.

tomekkobialka 06-03-13 16:39

Oh my gerd, I just saw a Tomb Raider poster on the edge of a London bus.

Funny, cos I was standing at the edge of Wimbledon High Street when I saw it. :o ;)

LaraDuh 06-03-13 16:41

I found combat challenging, but also really fun. I played on Normal so I did die a couple times during, but never found myself angry because of combat. I really hope they fix the choppy-ness of MP, because its really fun but some weapons are REALLY overpowered and Its laggy some of the time. When it isn't lagging though, its really addictive.

_Tomb_Raider 06-03-13 16:42

!MAJOR STORY SPOILER! - if you quote this post make sure to delet what is down below.
HOW THE **** could you Cristal do this to Alex! I soooo wanted him to be with Lara in the end! :cen: :cen: Oh well...

b0bb13 06-03-13 16:52

Gamd1011 06-03-13 16:56
