Let me know if any new info there? Not going to hear. :p

Tonyrobinson 19-01-12 19:15

They list all of the main events the are going to. Pretty much every month from May will be big promotion for Lara and they will be at Comic Con. :)

From about 6:00 in - Am I the only one reminded a bit of TR? Just the fact that it sort of has hubs, and manual aim, and giant rocks, plus the enemies remind me of scavengers and the world's are makeshift?

Probably.

Have you ever played a TR game? They're not well-known for being first-person shooters like Rage. Are you going to start posting Modern Warfare vids next? :p

Mind you, the guy playing makes a comment around the six-minute mark saying how the routes are simplistic, maybe that's where you got your likeness from? Legend & Underworld had those in spades.

Lukass 20-01-12 09:56

^ @Spong :vlol:

Um, yes, the rocks and flags reminds me of TOMB RAIDER. There's also some high building that reminds me of some monastery or whatever. Hope TOMB RAIDER looks like that :)

Nothing has been confirmed yet.

LARA_geek 20-01-12 13:29

RE6 will come out this november (as shown in the end of the trailer, by the way this trailer is amazing) and TReboot is in alpha stage. In june E3 is coming and as carl said new info will be revealed then. So I hope it will come out before november.

JsotoTRSaga 20-01-12 16:15

If Karl said in the Podcast near the 30th minute that the game is 9 months away we might probably get in September which i am all for it i think it's a Great release date at least better than Winter or November :/

Biggest AAA titles have a release schedule in November. TR should choose different month for the game release date.

Mikky 21-01-12 02:33

Okay, since I've been gone for about a week and a half and I'm not bothered to go through threads, what happened to the delay rumor? Is it moot now or what? I mean, listening to the new podcast, even though they didn't directly address it, they were talking about it as if it's definitely going to come out this year. Besides, TR has reached alpha stage and all that and they have a "plan" for this year and whatnot. I never really believed in the rumor much anyways.

So, like, tell me.

What, has Karl taken over your body or something? That is such a Karl answer. :vlol:

So, that means that it's not going to be delayed, right? xD

I think those were Karl's words actually. :p But yea, he emphasized a few times in the podcast that there would be a 2012 release.

I really hope so. Like they said, since they've reached alpha stage, it will only take a few more months to reach beta. I mean, they're not gonna be on alpha for a year, right? So it makes sense for a 2012 release. :D

Isn't TR pretty much a AAA title now? Or at least it probably will be.

That's my assumption.

You only shy away when you can't play with the big boys. Something tells me tomb raider will become an AAA title also. ;)

There is no "probably". It IS a AAA title and it always has been.

Even when it had poor sales compared to the other AAA titles?

The term "AAA game" refers to the production value of the game and stuff like how much it gets promoted. I think the sales are irrelevant.

Going by that definition, ya I'd say tomb raider was always an AAA title.

Oh okay. I guess it was just a lousy AAA title for the past few years :p

It had Poor sales Unfortunately but only in the first weeks of Launch... but it was only Underworld which had that Problem with sales and The Biggest thing that caused this was the Excessive amount of Videogames coming in that year near the same date and that that TR Game didn't offer something new for the fans it was more like a Sequel to Legend and Anniversary a Legend part 2 so it didn't offer much Intrigue for ppl that weren't fans of the game at all. Also this new TR Looks more fresh and lots of ppl have been impressed especially after GOL. SO probably the new game will have Lots of more sales compared to Underworld or any other TR Game. And actually i can tell you that Call of Duty if it doesn't change that annoying Formula it has kept for more than 5 years it will fail someday... Sooner or Later they will run out of Bullets :p and COD Will stop being a AAA Title just like other titles have failed with their every year releases i was giving an example above. So with what we have seeen of TR So far it sounds very Promising, More promising than ever i'd dare to say. And it will be a AAA Title once again followed by successful Sales just like the old days :wve:

I'm not really sure what you mean by that, tbh. Just to be clear, I was talking about TR2012 as a single game, not the whole series.

TR is a AAA title. I wanted to mean if TR release at the time of biggest AAA title release then lots of people might not get interest in TR. Like last year at the same time within 1 week, MW3, NFS:The Run, ACR, Saints Row 3, Skyrim & L.A.Noire on PC. So there will be again this year in middle November. If TR release in very relax time for gamers like Deus Ex: Human Revolution did in last year it will get more attention I think. :)

If there is enough hype, then people will still have it on their list of games to watch out for, even if they are distracted.

Some of the people will play for sure. But most of them will not play TR & will play CoD 9 all day long if both TR9 & CoD9 comes similar time.

COD Was one of my fav games and now i'm sick of it :/ I don't like it anymore too much ppl showing off in my country whenever a COD Title is released or announced so i'd rather punch COD And buy TR and play it the whole day when it's released.

Doubt it. :p COD fans will play the new game over Tomb Raider even if it's absolute **** and gets a 32% rating while TR gets 94%.

Umg, TR getting 94% @.@
