Didn't you just overlook it's 213 and not 218? 3 and 8 are similar :p You see that there was a preview already. If it's on your iPod, could you make a pic of its display with that page? I really want to know what's going on, although I'm not getting my hopes up at all in this case D:

EDIT: Believe me, I am not misreading. The "Lara on cover" is from December. This one have 10 May next to Laraīs head on the preview.

^ It's so weird, because you know why? I had the issue 127 in my hands, I went page by page and there was nothing like that :/ Issue 127 has ACIII on the cover.
Is the Play magazine only in the UK? Maybe this is American issue which haven't TR on its cover and haven't previewed TR yet?

I don't remember, but I checked that issue several times just to make sure. I checked more magazines for teaser images and I haven't seen anything TR related. I swear to God, the pic you posted is not in the physical issue.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but did not TR6 already set an example? From my observations, I've concluded that every time someone tries to "Re-invent Tomb Raider" to make it dark and gritty, people appear not to take kindly to it.

Some would say that it's already done and over. Some would say the best thing they can do now is try to minimize their losses. I, personally, well I'm not in any way interested in this game at all whatsoever. But the main reason that it will indeed fail is because lack of exposure.

And I'm not trying to be harsh or anything, but I'm usually right. And that movie, I swear that movie they were talking about will never happen- I just don't see it. Look at all the other games coming out at E3, TR is not a threat.

Unless the game is extremely popular, which it's not right now, that would not be a wise business move to make an expensive movie out of it.

This place, I mean look around, it's dead. And this is me being realistic, not hopeful. Unless you believe in miracles!

So what it will be about? As you said they already published all the old infos. Plus they have a small TR feature in this 217 issue as well. They would be crazy if they just put there everything we know again.

Isn't that issue is 2012 preview special? I thought many games featured in cover story and Lara Croft gets the cover image!

What may look hypocritical to you is just me being objective.

It's either squarely in the right direction or the direction is more of a death spiral. Which there are articles on that, but nobody is putting those articles up.

I checked that issue at store only, I don't have it. I'm dead sure there was no advertisement about TR being in the next issue, which is 218.

Pity we could not get pictures of these things, but they have not yet used the second render for a cover so maybe they would use it next. Will see if I can get a look at issue 217 myself.

^ Yeah, I've seen that one too. It really is not a preview, is it? :/ But that's strange too. So they never previewed it properly like the other magazines did. According to them they're not going to preview it in the 218 issue neither, there's just going to be some 10 mins video which is I bet the E3 demo. When are they going to make proper preview then? They're a bit late...
