Nope. You can use another browser/delete cookies and vote as many times as you please according to several other people on here that have done so.

Well, surely repeated votes can't be the only way TR increased by 12-13% since yesterday. They can only do so much. To say it's at the top from cheating is a bit of an exaggeration. :p

Oh well, it's still generally one of the most anticipated titles of the year. Even my friends who didn't really care for TR that much are now considering buying it... I'll take it. :p

Well I would say part of it has to do with official Tomb Raider blog promoting it too. hehe

And Facebook. :p

To be honest, its not hard when people are cheating by voting alot of times for TR.

Not cool. Just because its the most anticipated game here, does not mean that people have to distort the whole thing by voting 10-20-30-40 times or whatever happened here.

I read alot of posts where people were so proud that they raised TR 3-4 % each because they are voting alot of times.

Edit: I saw that it was promoted on TR Twitter etc. Well, that explains a bit but it still doesnt cover up how people cheated on here

Just because tr is not your most anticipated game does not mean its not others peoples most anticipated game tho. I was the only one who said that I voted multiple times so please find posts other than mine that said that they voted multiple times cuz I don't think 1 or 2 posts are what you call a lot :rolleyes: and read the coments , many of them say tomb raider.

I saw 4 or 5 people who said they voted multiple times. It doesn't really matter anyway. It's some off the wall site that I've never even heard about. It's not a big deal.

It's funny how we true fans of TR managed to "promote" the new one via FB and Twitter, voted for it, and tried to make it appealing to everyone of our friends who never actually knew about it and in the end we get nothing exclusive :pi:

We are helping promote the game and I think we're doing a pretty good job.

I'm not expecting them to give us a prize or anything, it would just be nice to get a little reward or something.

I'm not saying they're oblidged too, I'd just like a special thanks, like how Namco did in Tekken Tag Tournament 2's credits for example "Thanks to all Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Arcade Players and You" , something like that would be extta nice.

Why should TRF/a handle of people get anything? For promoting the game a bit? They've done a ton of promoting themselves. It's selfish to believe we at TRF are solely responsible for all the awards they've gotten. The game has won the awards, like best of show at E3 etc and who was responsible for the game? Oh yes, the developers, Crystal Dynamics. We are getting all sorts of extras in pre-orders, people have won and been given things by them, gone to meet ups, organised by Meagan. TRF have done a fair bit but to expect something back is ridiculous in my book. A lot of people here support the game, but cheating on the voting isn't something they asked of us, they didn't ask us to spread the word. The fact that a few people are doing that is because they want to. It's ungrateful to expect something. If that's why people cheat on these polls, then don't bother.

I never said that we were obliged to promote the game nor that we expect something in return. I never mentioned anything about the awards the game has won. What do pre-orders have to do with that? Pre-orders are a way for the Developers to get money and anyway the retailers are not from my country, so even if I pre-order the game it will get to me ages after release so thank you but no. Also, I never said I cheated in the poll, I have only voted once and that's it. And again I'm not expecting them to do anything because they don't even have to, I just said it would be nice.

The competitions that existed, most of them were for US residents (at least the ones I were interested in) and as LNSNHGTDS said, if I pre-order from another country, cause my country doesn't have the preorder exclusive, it would take days to arrive. I remember preordering Heavy Rain and it took a whole month.

I never cheated on the voting thing, and do not support those who did.

They did in a way when the game was announce and said if we reach a X number of fans on FB we'd show a sneak peek of the trailer. So they did ask us in a way to spread the word.

@ LarasFan, Well, your last couple of posts before I posted seemed to insinuate that you thought CD should give a handle of people who have helped promote the game (via social network or by voting on polls) something special as an award. These polls aren't created by CD, and if fans wish to spread the word via facebook or twitter, then that's great and I'm sure CD do appreciate it. Yes, it is their job and they are doing it. They asked people to like their facebook page at the very start of the campaign, so yes, in that sense they have asked for help (and we got the sneak peak), but to expect to get something out of it is a bit...cheaky at best and ungrateful. CD, especially Meagan, have gone out of their way to give out prizes to give away stuff and to invite fans to meet ups etc. They've done tons for the fans. Its unfortunate your country (don't know which one) has missed out, but CD have done a lot to promote the game and to show appreciation to the fans. If your stores don't offer pre-order incentives, they haven't asked CD for them, and it's not CD's fault. I'm just saying that posting links on twitter to facebook is great, but fans shouldn't expect something or feel somehow put upon or ignored by CD if the promoting is done because you're a fan doing something that..fans do? I appreciate that you hope for it, but the tone of the posts seem bit...expectant, is all. The game has won awards, sure some of which were public voting polls, but others have been all the game.

I just found out from the offical Tomb Raider site that when you pre-order the game from amazon uk you will get the Endurance DLC pack. This probably isn't new news for everyone but i'm excited because I pre-orderd from amazon uk.
I'm also abit slow so it took a few secs to realise that it was also the name of the ship xD
Hopefully amazon uk will tell us more soon as I really wan't to know what it's all about.:jmp:
