Legend/Anniversary Mesh Modding is here
 

A dozen of years later, Legend & Anniversary mesh modding is here. Me and TheIndra have been researching the games engine for months, and we finally got some results with mesh modding.

It is currently possible to model swap from existing models in the games (not all of them though). I was able to model swap Anniversary Lara to Legend Lara and vice versa. I was also able to make Amelia playable!

This is very exciting and this is just the beginning of Legend & Anniversary modding. I plan on writing a custom models exporter for Noesis, which will make us able to port custom models to the games.

Yass! How? Can you also use TRA Lara in next-gen? Wonderful! Does the ponytail work? I remember CD claiming that it was too glitchy.

Yes, the ponytail works. And no, you can't use TRA Lara in next gen because the next gen version of the game uses whole different files with different formats.

Besides, I absolutely HATE how Legend looks in next-gen mode so do not hope for me to work on a custom model exporter for that format

Seems The Great Chi was way ahead of you years ago, on mesh modding in Legend.

Is this just character changing only? or will it be possible to add multiple items and characters into a level, like helicopters and extra baddies as per The Great Chi's video...'Bolivian Danger'

It would be brilliant if we could mod Legend like that, we just do not have many modding tools for Legend at the moment, like we do have for earlier Tomb Raider games. But it seemed Chi had some way to do it ;)

Absolutely not. Chi just managed to spawn instances by editing the exe. In no way it is even near to the work me and Indra have done.
