I've noticed a couple issues that I'm not sure is affecting anybody else: Everytime I load a saved game, there's a small pop in the audio. Second is, and I'm not sure why this level specifically, the ambient music audio in Citadel doesn't stop when Lara dies. And finally, the grenade launcher has the option to "Separate", which crashes the game when attempted. Both the first and third are not in the previous 1.2.1 version...
And of course right when I try and put 2.0 back in, my antivirus decides it's a trojan and removes it. |
Hello, thanks for your great projects of enhancing TR4 & 5. However I have slight problems with window management.
I mean "alt-tab" doesn't always work properly and sometimes I get a black screen which forces me to reboot my pc (it might be specific to my graphics card or driver because it also happens in some other old games). So I go into windowed mode first with "alt-enter", and then I can do whatever I want. But tomb4 v2.0.0 doesn't respond to either "alt-enter" or "alt-tab", whereas latest tomb5 v3.1.1 (only a month old) still works this way. Is there something that can be done ? |

edit: fixed the alt enter stuff :) anyone who's having audio issues, does turning reverb off help at all? |

Just a thought : as TR4&5 engines are largely the same, would it be possible to back port the few new moves introduced in TR5 ? I mean for example the roll to get out of a crawl space without having to turn around and let legs hang out first. Or the ability to take turns while hanging on a wall or a ledge. Though for the latter, the level design was made without this turning possibility, so while it might be performed, there would probably be nowhere to use it.

Errors found:
1º 'No Patch V2.0.0' - Upon reaching The Sphinx Complex level, the innermost shelf of the warehouse cannot be dragged (keeping from getting the secret). 2º In The Tomb Of Seth, Lara is unable to hit the scorpions with shots. 3º When using the weapon Revolver + LaserSight (With the scope), the life bar appears on the screen. |

Dunno if this is related to tomb4 or just my computer being wank, but...
I've just played up to Cleopatra's Palaces and the track "061_In_The_Pyramid_Part_i.wav" won't play. All audio just cuts off when the track is triggered. I've tried replacing the audio file with a disc rip but it still won't work. Anyone know how to fix this? |
About the bars customisation, i've noticed that, when using PS and TRC style bars, the enemy bar and the health bar merge together, which is also the case with the sprint and air bars. Also, when using PS bars layout, all the bars merge or overlap a little.
Also, is it possible to implement a feature in the future to display all the bars (health, air and stamina) all the time? |

Been replaying Lost Artefact through the tomb3 project, and it got me wondering if it'd be possible to incorporate and launch the Times Exclusive in a similar way? I assume the cutscene would make this too tricky, but a guy can dream 🤞

I've also been experiencing the issue in The Lost Library that Nuke experienced in post #239. Switches that you have to shoot with the crossbow won't activate no matter what I do.
I'm also having another bug, where the grenade launcher says it's combined with something (I haven't combined it with the laser scope) and pressing Separate causes the game to crash to desktop. I'm not sure when this bug started. I didn't notice it until The Lost Library, but I have save from the previous two levels with that same bug occurring I am using the GOG version with the latest release of tomb4, no other modifications. I did download and continue with a save from Stella's site at one point, in case that's pertinent. Thank you for your amazing work. Excited to see what the future holds. |

I was wondering if HD fonts could be supported eventually? I know it wasn't possible before, but maybe in the future? |
Would it be possible to make it so you can pick up a second lasersight, and have it attached to both the revolver and the crossbow at the same time?

I've found a bug in Tomb of Seth. In the Hourglass puzzle, the torches won't be set on fire if you jump on the correct tiles.

I also found that a shoot switch in Lost Library wouldn't activate preventing access to a secret.

I just recently replayed TR4 testing the tomb4 v2, and here are the bugs I encountered (some have already been mention). I also provided some savegames for some issues I caught.

I didn't have this problem with the previous version of the .exe :confused: 3) Something is wrong with Lara’s skin joints (mostly noticeable on her knees.) https://i.imgur.com/QWi1N83.jpg 4) Baddy2 monkey-swinging in Hypostyle Hall dying in mid-air (Savegame 0 and 1) 5) The lightning/lasers in Sacred Lake at the Sun Goddess puzzle are messed up (Savegame 2) 6) The lighting on the Semerkhet game pieces seems strange – somehow darker than normal (Savegame 3) 7) The Skeletons' AI isn’t working; they don’t patrol or jump around anymore while Lara is out of reach, and sometimes after you shoot off their heads they don't run into holes to kill themselves anymore. (Savegame 4 and 5) 8) The Horseman’s enemy health bar bugs out to an extreme length when Lara knocks him off the horse: https://i.imgur.com/rNLQWk8.jpg 9) Lara can’t shoot the pendulum in Lost Library to open the door for the secret – it’s not responding to explosive arrows like it normally should. 10) Citadel Gate crashes when you try to return to the level Chambers of Tulun (Savegame 6) 11) In Trenches it isn’t possible for Lara to shoot the electric box that will open the door. I had to DOZY to the ledge for her to be able to shoot it. (Savegame 7) 12) Lara refuses to push/pull the secret shelf in Sphinx Complex. * Thank you again for all your hard work on these patches! |

Support for the Times level is planned, but not yet done.
-- tomb4 V2.1.0 is finally out :) This is a long overdue update :p the last release was the first release after the new EXE was achieved, and so it had its fair share of issues, but thankfully all of these have been taken care of :) Everything (hopefully) has been fixed. From the baddies not dying on monkeyswing, to skeletons AI, to not being able to pull that shelf in Sphinx Complex, it should all be sorted out now :) Full changelog is right here so you can check everything that was fixed/added. If I missed something please let me know :) -- Now for the new additions, there's quite a few exciting additions: First we added a new scaling system that's consistent on all resolutions and aspect ratios, this means that 2D elements of the game that now use this system will always look the same on all resolutions. This was applied to a handful of elements, such as bars, Jeep/Bike speedometers, the title screen logo, and more! Moreover, the drawing system for objects/room geometry has been completely reworked to be less reliant on DirectX. This approach is much faster and allows us to customize more elements of the drawing pipeline, fixing long standing issues such as not being able to have both distance + volumetric fog in the same level, it also improves how lighting is applied on room geometry. Speaking of distance fog, this also allows us to customize it. A new option has been added to the menu that allows you to choose where the distance fog starts! Lastly, a few original bugs have been fixed, such as Lara performing the wrong walk animation when interacting with some objects, and some SFX issues in the inventory/menus. That's it for now :ton: You can grab the update here You may have to run setup again, if the game refuses to run, make sure to try that first before anything else! Lots of cool stuff, and great to see distance fog is now customizable. I think tomb4 is an essential patch for the best possible experience, and Crystal Dynamics should hire Troye.

Bars
Hello, thank you very much for your work. In the new update 2.1.0 the life bars of lara, enemies, running, swimming and loading games have disappeared. I have put back the update 2.0.0.0 and if the bars appear. Does anyone else have the same problem as me? Thank you very much.
