Last Nvidia drivers 461.09
Last Windows update(Windows 10 Pro, 20H2, 08.09.2020, 19042.746, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0)

I tried disabling cloud saving and deleting the saved folder - it doesn't help
I click play and just a black screen appears, after 20-25 seconds the game just closes and that's it
If necessary I can send log files
I have the same GPU, and the same drivers, and I'm not running into any issues, and I'm running the game with DX12.

These are presets I'm using:

I'm not running into any issues at all. I can't remember the last time the game has crashed on me.

Try looking up the community discussions of the Steam page:

There's a topic about it, where people state the problem started with the most recent drivers. I'm having issues with these drivers on World of Warcraft. I think nVidia has messed up big time with the newest updates...

One suggestion:

Try to reinstall the GPU drivers through the GeForce Experience.

(this is in Portuguese, but it's the option to force a reinstall of the drivers)
i found a fix for the game's error and constant crashing i was searching myself, it's an error due to win's registry. do as this, step by step:

1) Go To Windows Search
2) Search Regedit
3) Right click and select run as administrator
4) Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
5) Open SYSTEM
6) Open CurrentControlSet
7) Open Control
8) Click GraphicsDrivers
9) Right Click And Select New In Windows Registry
10) Select DWORD (32-bit) Value
11) Type TdrLevel (Write it exactly T and L should be capital)
12) Double click on TdrLevel
13) Make sure value data is 0

I've been replaying Shadow on my laptop. First on easy to remember stuff (because there were many things I forgot) and then on Deadly Obsession.

Amazing game for sure, I will wanna continue the reboot trilogy from newest to oldest, so I will try Rise again. I never tried the hard difficullties there.

Extreme Survivor has one big advantage over Deadly Obsession: there's no health regeneration, not even outside combat (Shadow's DO disables regen only while you are in a fight).

I think both, ES and DO, were wonderful ideas after having several games with forgiving checkpoint systems. They -almost- give Rise and Shadow a PS TR1-ish feeling, when you had to touch save crystals in pre-established locations to save your progress. One of the differences is that the campfires allow unlimited uses, unlike TR1's crystals' one use.

I hope they continue this trend of offering these difficulty choices D:

I always enjoyed the photo mode feature but it always felt kinda off seeing Lara pull all these facial expressions that weren't her usual self. The smiley face, the smug face, and a few of the others just seemed very off for me. Probably because I'm so used to seeing Lara in crisis mode that its impossible to see her in any other emotion/expression outside of sad/depressed.

People are reporting that the Xbox Version got a FPS Boost in the 4k Mode for Series S/X. Which means High Resolution Mode with 60 GPS instead of 30.
