The only way we'd find keys or relics in sunken ships would be if we swam underneath, which we've said already can't be done.

they probably just removed swimming so Lara can't swim trough the ocean and get back to Britain.

You live in a world of impossibility, don't you.

There are ships, sticking out of the ocean, chances are if CD wanted us to, we could stand on them, because ships are solid. Not saying we can in this game, but the ships don't have to be underwater. And opening a hatch to explore flooded halls doesn't have to mean systematic swimming, we could wade through.

JsotoTRSaga 18-03-12 20:56

Then why did they put the ships there if we can't search for items inside them , If they are trying to do a Realistic experience they should have considered the possibility to get Underwater and get the Tools Inside the sunken boat because if i was in Lara's Situation and i needed to survive one of the first things i'd do would be searching for tools, Food and weapons and Sunken boats look promising when searching for useful items and Weapons. I think the boats are floating under the surface and we need to swim and get to the ships and there should be an entrance on the top of the Deck and the Deck of the Ships will not be Sinked Underwater so we would be able to get in and search. But if that isn't the case then idk why did CD added boats and try to make realism if it will not make much sense. I agree with Larafan.

I think realism only extends a certain distance in games and with specific decisions made.

Although CD's cry for realism, dynamic worlds, and freedom would imply the ability to reach the parts of the game world we can see.

I understand why swimming isn't in this game, I'm fine with it, there is going to be a lot of new mechanics. They can add it later on.

The reason CD would have added boats if we can't reach them is to portray the idea that so many ships have crashed, they're part of the scenery.

I was talking about JsotoTRSaga post in my post, and he said that sunken ships would be a good reason to go into the ocean. Sunken ships and ruined ships that are "sticking out of the ocean" are two different things. But you're right, it doesn't have to be sunken ships, but that's what JsotoTRSaga was talking about.

Trust me, I want to explore all these lovely ships and other places as much as you, but I'm just not as optimistic as most people here. I don't think we will be able to explore them, at least not as much as you're thinking.

Rai 18-03-12 21:01

We can't reach sunken ships, but we can wade to wrecked ships and explore the parts above water. 'Tis been said. I'm looking forward to doing that.

I've given up hope on anything new before E3 tbh.

What do you mean? We've seen already that they're clearly not. Like you said, they're on the ocean surface, "sticking out of the water". :p If we can explore them, I think there will be a lot of limits, tbh, like only being able to explore certain ships. :/

JsotoTRSaga 18-03-12 21:13

That^ I was thinking of that right this moment. We could tell which ships to explore depending on how they look, If one of the ships for example looks Sinked and it's entirely Below the Water level and you could only see the roof then it may mean we can't explore that one But if there is another ship that looks Above The water not entirely sunken and you could see the Deck then you could search it. I think (If that is the case) I'm starting to Understand what Karl meant with: ''The Path won't scream at you'' :p
