It feels like a lifetime. I just don't think I have processed the news yet and I don't know when it's going to hit me.

If I could make a suggestion: Sarah Maclachlan - When She Loved Me. I think it sounds more appropriate.

R.I.P Orange - You will always be in our hearts <3

It's definitely the same area, with the large temples and shanty town below!

Evan C. 04-10-12 19:38

Loved the second because it's a new art piece of TR. Can't believe how they managed to transport the original mood of the concepts to the game.

Ikr? Beautiful! :D

It seems like the are in inhabited :D.

BinRaider 04-10-12 19:49

I wonder how inhabited...

Evan C. 04-10-12 19:50

Well, there's a big contrast there between some ancient construction and some recent ones, that are obviously habitated since there's a smoke coming from there. What I wonder if that there are only males scavengers, because it's obviously fool to think that wreckages only had males. Obviously, female figure is something relevant on the plot.

There are at least 4 fires in that concept, so by simple logic 4 fires x 4 people= 16 people? :p

Evan C. 04-10-12 19:55

What about the symbols under Lara position? Seems to be a cross with a number 6 next to it, and then the circle that seems to represent the sun or something. Maybe that means that on that town, six ladies have been crucified like Steph, remember?

larafan25 04-10-12 19:59

I googled the circle with the dot a while back, but I forget what it means.

Lukass 04-10-12 20:07

So much to explore, so much to traverse....hell YES!

larafan25 04-10-12 20:08

I was actually just wondering what it would be like to explore that city.

Like, our freedom to run around and inside and between the huts. Would it be crawling with scavengers?

Would it feel actually like a city?

Hard to tell since this is not official art, so he just took an inspiration. But I wish it looked exactly like that in the game, I want it to be full of scavengers...

Evan C. 04-10-12 20:11

I wonder if we will find something like this:

What are you buyin' stranger??

larafan25 04-10-12 20:13

^I was thinking of that for some reason. :vlol:

Looks pretty much the same, for the most part.

It would be awesome if the town was on water...

http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/i...E3-2012/58.jpg

I'd love an environment with planks, and water to wade in, and it all flows to a giant waterfall.

Also, looking at some slanted platforms, I wonder if we can slide on angled platforms.

Tommy123 04-10-12 20:13

Besides the concept art what did i miss?

:cln: That was a cool addition to Resident Evil 4, I see no reason why it wouldn't be a cool feature in Tomb Raider.

Brenoch Adams (that artist) is a concept artist for Crystal Dynamics though. I love this piece and I love how close the actual area in game looks to this art. Can't wait to play around in that area.

Brian's ink art of Lara is also fab. I'm going to keep an eye on the autions, even if I can't bid. It's all for a good cause as well.

Is he? Then the pic may be quite accurate to the ingame village.

Rai 04-10-12 20:44

Apparently, yeah: His website

Tonyrobinson 04-10-12 22:33

Does anyone else think we will see more industrialised in door areas like a laboratory or the Scavenger's base? I think it'd be cool if they had a Vietcong system of underground travelling. To an extent they do with the den and bunker areas but I'm thinking more long tunnels connecting underground to different areas instead of point A to B. :)

Considering there is something about "Advanced Imaging Co." I think it might be likely we have some sort of secret facility area.

What about the rope?

A TR Memeber (I'm assuming) talked about how Lara can "upgrade her machine gun and pistols". And about the rope, he said players an attach a towrope to arrows and create means of traversal from point a to point b on the ropes. I'm assuming zip lines and shimmying. Maybe even swinging. :)

just*raidin*tomb 05-10-12 07:42

Exactly 5 months until release. O.o
