No. The part I seen Lara doesn't had a Pistol either. She was killing some scavengers with the bow first but suddenly arrow finished and had to kill last two scavengers with axe. And after that fight she runs towards the beach which is so damn phenomenal. :D

Scavengers fight was in grass, not too much I looked at cause I had to look her life bar on the left side which was going towards red slowly over times. But there were some great sand works. The graphics of the beach was phenomenal. After the fight I had to visit the beach and use an axe to climb a shipwreck in beach. Inside that shipwreck I felt like it was from 17th century pirates ship. :)

I think it'll be something more visual (they are going for a cinematic experience, right)?

I think the screen may get blurrier as Lara gets hungrier. Something to that effect?

Maybe, and that will make it look like she's getting dizzy from hunger.
