Yeah, I would've loved a few monsters in there but giant spiders would be cool. I already love the wolves they are like one of my favourite animals to see on screen cause you just know **** is going to go down. :p

That would be so so so cool! :D It would be even more scary if we wouldn't be warned about the underwater danger by any music.

Something I can't wait to see is how enemies approach you on screen in the usual combat encounters, especially wolves.

I hope wolves aren't overused though.

I'd like to see some birds flying about, not attacking though. Bats are nice too when they're not being pests.

Lukass 10-03-12 16:15

There will be crows (or how do you call the black birds? :p), moths (according to one of the concepts), deers, wolves, some bears would be nice too...I don't know any other animal that could live on a Japanese island and I'm not even sure if there are any bears in Japan. I can wait for animal enemies and also the variety of the scavengers. What I would really love to see some female scavengers too. It would be so cool to see Lara fighting with a primitive aggressive female. Brawl between Lara and her without any weapons would be super. There might be some scavenger's kids too...but it would be a bit over the top I think :p

larafan25 10-03-12 16:17

Oh right, I'd hope bears would be lethal.

Tonyrobinson 10-03-12 16:17

I don't think they would show child deaths in the game. It wouldn't effect me in the slightest but people get testy about those things. And the last thing Crystal want is to get their reboot banned. :o

Spong 10-03-12 16:21

Good point about female scavengers Lukass. I'd be curious to know if they're present. Logic dictates that they have to be if the scavengers have been there for any length of time. I bet they're not though, I bet every human enemy in the game is male

larafan25 10-03-12 16:21

^That would be silly but it's predictable, I don't know why people don't ever think of adding females.

We can just leave the children a mystery.

I would really appreciate if there were some female scavengers too. If they're going for realism, there better should be any. We've never had any real female enemy in Tomb Raider game. Well, Sophia was an enemy, but she was just a boss. We've killed hundreds of men, so I'd love to see some change.

larafan25 10-03-12 16:26

What if all of the women are sacrificed? ala Lara and Poor Sarah?

Tonyrobinson 10-03-12 16:28

Hahaha, imagine the feminists...

This game is sexist because a strong powerful female in a lead is a sex symbol!

Men think only women get lost on Islands!

There are no female scavengers because men think women can't be violent!

There are female scavengers because men think women are violent!

MEN ARE BASTARDS!

:p

Linoshi Croft 10-03-12 16:29

Well they'd have to be women...for the scavenger to thrive and remain present on the island.

Tonyrobinson 10-03-12 16:30

Hermaphroditic Scavengers FTW!!! :p

Not if there are constantly people landing on the island.

I was thinking about how the enemies described in one magazine were wild, maybe they have giant vicious pandas they ride around on.

King Kong much? No...

I expect the scavenger living on the island for quite a long time, so they needed females, right?

Oh, I've found a Japanese bear. Its head reminds me of wild boar. And there are crows and deers...I googled Japanese animals, and the deers and bears are the biggest one so far. There are only foxes, monkeys and some little animals that won't hurt anyone. I'm really looking forward to see what kind of animal enemies are in the game then, when they're aiming for realism.

Hopefully they involve Japanese boars! :D

EDIT: OMG we are totally psychic! :vlol:

Pandas are Chinese, not Japanese :pi:

No.

Wut? Women were sacrificed in King Kong?

Well whether you say yes or no, Lara is a women and she was left for dead (and not food) just like another woman.

Maybe, IDK. No females would explain no children, constant stranded people would explain a constant population.

OH! I want monkeys.

I love your resilience :tmb::vlol:

Tonyrobinson 10-03-12 16:39

I know there are a few snakes in Japan they could include as enemies. :)

larafan25 10-03-12 16:42

Apparently the Goblin shark is in Japan waters...

http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/20...3234195329.jpg

That was always an ugly thing...

Not that we'd be in Japanese waters anyways.

I think it would be nice is we encounter enemies in awkward places, like wolves up in the mountains on the edges of cliffs where fights are dangerous.

If monkeys were included (which I'm not sure they would be) it would be cool to see them all over a certain building.

Hopefully the combat system adapts for both human and animal enemies.

Snakes are too small. I want some bloody huge beasts.

Snakes can jump out of things though, and bite you in the neck, poisoning you or killing you.

Lukass 10-03-12 16:47

This must be soundtrack of the night hub and also when we're in the forests.

It's so scary :'D

I don't have to. Larafan is doing a great job in that. :D

Tonyrobinson 10-03-12 17:09

I'm quite glad that countdown is on there 87 days doesn't seem long at all to me. I have other things to keep me preoccupied until then. :)

I cannot wait for the combat reveal and I hope the game will contain a few good boss fights. Also this will be the first time we see the Alpha Lara didn't they say she looked a bit different and was less dirty than the previous or something. It'll be fun to play spot the difference. :D

195 days or 4696 hours :D

Lukass 10-03-12 18:24

Her fringe will be moving, the pendant too (once she get it). All the scraps from her clothes will be moving...and I can't wait to see her 100% polished ingame model! FTW!

larafan25 10-03-12 18:48

I don't think anything on her clothes will be moving. Aside from gear or holsters perhaps, the hanging axe.
