I swear, this is it.

BUT.

How would it be revealed?

How would I know to tune in to my Internet (not that I'll be away from it)?

Will it just...pop up on the web?

WUT.

HOW?

I'm sure Karl or Meagan or someone will tweet about it... or something. Or the new website will launch, so you can just check that throughout GDC since we don't know when (or even if) CD is presenting. If something happens the forums will probably explode :D

I don't know how I am going to live this week.

I have school to attend. >_>

How many days does GDC last?

GDC...

Trailers...

IT MUST BE THERE.

Karl mentioned about maybe getting the hub area out in a gameplay trailer later on...then the guy from here said they mentioned there'd be a trailer early 2012.

CEE DEE.

AIHFFOGENHKLNSIBLKKLSNK

EVERYONE IS DOING IT! D:

DUDE.

Tomorrow is Sunday- NO today is Sunday tomorrow is GDC! D:

I can tASTE the trailer.

IT'S HAPPENING!

http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/u...h-lf25-o-1.gif

Registration for exhibitors ended on February 29. But GDC's list still don't include Crystal Dynamics. Probably they are not doing anything. March 7-9 is GDC Expo time. That's when exhibitors show their game behind closed doors probably.

larafan25 04-03-12 06:25

Whatever. I don't need TR. It can go die. :/

Is there a chance people are on the list, but hidden?

If Karl request them to there name as they are ultra cautious about TR leak, then they might do that. :o

I hope this is the case. This is their chance to WOW the world, WOW us. Do something. D:

Pleeeze CD.

Stevo505 04-03-12 06:32

Maybe GDC is not a big enough event?

larafan25 04-03-12 06:34

GDC is waay big enough.

But normally they tell us when something is coming, so I don't see anything happening here.

hmmph...

lcroft_lc 04-03-12 06:40

Or maybe the new TR website will kick-off with a countdown like this one-

Hopefully a release date will be announced otherwise a countdown is pointless.

Also what is the AC3 countdown for? I thought it didn't release until Autumn.

AC III countdown is for a debut CGI trailer. TR should do it for a proper gameplay trailer. :D

For the first time I went to Square Enix site.

Nice to see they listed TR & Hitman: Absolution for 2012. :)

Why every time I discover something it's already posted :p ?

slavo120 04-03-12 11:01

My opinion is why they donīt show us nothing ?? GDC,PAX ..this all are big event and every publisher and game that comes on Fall there will be...so, why only Tomb Raider isnīt on this big event when he come on Fall ?Is this stupid strategy from CD or is this sign that game would be delay ?:(

..CD or SE are not stupid so, maybe if they donīt interest about this big event,,,What reason they have ?? GDC is big event...rival will be there in full force :( with their fall games

leglion 04-03-12 11:15

Tomb raider is supposed to be at all big game events this year according to Karl.

jhs270694 04-03-12 11:18

I know this may sound stupid but maybe CD is just media shy. Remember it was their first time showing the game play or something like that as Karl said in a vid with the other person next to him holding the Xbox controller. Have you guys heard of 'rare', the company making games for nintendo64, they had this same attitude CD are having now and they produced great games like goldeneye 007, I think that game came out in 1997, year after first TR :D

Then case closed, they must be on GDC because GDC is the biggest before E3..........

But it might be behind closed doors so don't expect anything.

jhs270694 04-03-12 11:24

Agreed, I think this as well, talk is cheap Karl needs prove it, give him the chance he won't disappoint.

I still don't understand why they would be showing the game only behind closed doors. Doesn't the public and fans deserve to see something after ****ing 9 months?

..
Maybe new gameplay demo or more polished demo from E3 they will show behind closed doors and for us new gameplay trailer...CD do not need GDC to get out new trailer..and early 2012 is here

jhs270694 04-03-12 11:45

Exactly what i was thinking, what benefit do they reap from events by always showing stuff behind the curtains, the whole point of the events is to show what the company capable off (TO THE PUBLIC), this just supports my theory they're just being media shy about their franchise and i don't have a problem with that, the problem lies in thinking it's beneficial for them when clearly its not in terms of sales IMO. It's like they're deliberately trying to keep TR12 a secret unless that's part of their strategy. I don't care how they go about doing their thing as long as i get hold of their game and it lives up at least close to my expectations but im just giving food for thought.

leglion 04-03-12 11:53

Perhaps they want to see what a small group of people think before showing it to the masses.

jhs270694 04-03-12 11:59

That's plausible, much to our own detriment. But i don't think it does them any good, whether or not they get a voiced opinion of a minority, what will the (more importantly) majority think? And how does the minority of small groups have an effect at such time of deep development to dramatically change it now anyway? IMO it's a poor way of assessing how well the game is going.

Unless of course if you meant they show it to the small group as a way of reassurance, but does CD always need a hand to hold on to like a little child? :vlol:

Lukass 04-03-12 12:03

@leglion If that's the reason of showing everything behind closed doors, it's stupid as hell, if you ask me. They don't do the game for small group. They're doing it for masses and so they should show it to masses. Now, what's better? Get opinion of a few people or public opinion? They know how people loved the E3 demo, so why the constant hiding?
It's almost shocking that even the most patient TRFers who are all for waiting are getting annoyed.

Eidt: + I was reading through the internet the other night and people forgot the game exists. I know the hype will be back with the next wave of info, but c'mon! 9 months!

jhs270694 04-03-12 12:07

You can count me in on that small group of patient TRFers, read my post above yours, it's exactly what i said lol.

leglion please don't feel like im ganging up on you :o, i just have a hunger for debate seemingly i have nothing else better to do other than wait for news. idk why i just made this statement, i just get too sentimental towards my fellow forumers, i have the up most respect for you guys :)

Most likely, I guess. :vlol:

slavo120 04-03-12 12:11

CD has reached with its strategy just frustration, disappointment and feel like they forgot on the game community and fans

this is true..but exactly 9 months ? !!!!!!

jhs270694 04-03-12 12:13

Nah, they aint forgotten us, more that they're acting a bit insecure tbh. i don't blame them too much since it's hard to reboot what was once a really successful franchise pushed to the brink of failure, i can almost sympathise with them at times because i get locked up and reluctant to show my thoughts and feelings to a large crowd, but find it easier to express them to a smaller crowd which i think CD is doing. but i agree it is frustrating but that's life huh.

Lukass 04-03-12 12:16

They didn't forget. They're laughing at us.

Well last time they showed it behind closed doors (that we know of) they reaped 16 odd magazine covers that much and more magazine articles and a lot of enthusiasm for the game. They show it to the media so they can write previews and show the screenshots off. Every other TR game started the main advertising with E3 in the year of release if it was coming out around November, so they are hardly keeping the game a secret, they already showed some of it off, and have already told us to expect more for this E3. The 8 odd Tomb Raider games that started the main campaign with E3 did not seem to suffer for any lack of attention. So it is a time proven tradition that 6 months is plenty of time to advertise a Tomb Raider game.

jhs270694 04-03-12 12:23

Ok, but the bottom line of all this is, so why are people still so frustrated then? you provided a good and valid argument but my question remains unanswered. :vlol:

Edit: they have spent more than 6 months advertising have they not? If what you said is true, CD is going against the time proven tradition because if anything big they have released was over 6 months ago

Also it was mere speculation that they were keeping it a secret, never said they were doing so but i get your point.

Lukass 04-03-12 12:24

6 months?

NRO. 04-03-12 12:59

Ugh, I did some research about GOW and I hope that that guy stays the hell away from TR. There are way to many QTEs in what we saw in the demo, if he joins we're all screwed. Anyway, if we actually get a new demo on GDC, I will sing this live. I doubt that we will get anything new before E3.

Lukass 04-03-12 13:03

I think if they decided to bring new info etc at E3, it's too late.

Well, they have said that months ago. 3 months away isn't that longer anymore :)
