I highly doubt Tomb Raider cost $300 million to make and market... :vlol:

I dont even think that number has been reached by any Hollywood film... ever...

Ok I just looked; only ONE movie has ever cost $300 million... Pirates of the Caribbean: at worlds end...

http://mostexpensivemovie.net/

Compare that to this...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...mes_to_develop

Now granted, that wiki link is kinda unreliable, but its enough for me to call BS on those TR numbers...

GTA V looks like a ridiculously vast, expensive game to produce, and if thats costing around $140-150 million, I highly doubt Tomb Raider cost twice as much....

Sounds like Resident Evil 6 :p

So why didn't this game have chapter select?

My guess because of the open world like structure. Too many variables to keep track of.

Don't see how. Star Wars: The Old Republic is speculated to be the most expensive video game ever made. Created over the span of six years by 800 developers on four continents and costing $200 million and is a large scale MMO.

There is no way TR can match any of that.

Ellen Paige played TReboot! :D

I played video games more when I was a kid. I had Sega Genesis and was a HUGE Sonic fan. I also love the NHL games and played them with my brother all time. Then I was super into Playstation and loved the FIFA games. I recently played my first video game in a while. I played the latest Tomb Raider and really enjoyed it, finished in about 12 hours.

and here's a little blip from Keeley about not getting asked back for TR.

Quote:

Talking about Tomb Raider, were you a little surprised that they didn’t have you back for the new game?

No, I knew they weren't going to. I did three games, which is quite a lot in that that world. They take long to make and I’d done documentaries about her, so I was quite happy to let her go. It needed a freshening up though, and the fact that they went back to the beginning is a very clever thing to do. It introduces her to a whole new audience and I’m proud to have been such a big part of the franchise for so long.
Rest of the interview, here.

Keeley :( Oh Keeley.
This is the first time I've heard her talk about Tomb Raider.
My all time favorite Lara and VA

Gorl, you did a record breaking 4 games, not just three. :ohn:

I've noticed a pattern - Shelley Blond voiced Lara one time.
Judith Gibbons voiced Lara two times
Jonell voiced Lara three times
Keeley voiced Lara four times...

Does that mean Camilla will probably do 5 TR games? :p

In a bad way.
