I still don't know what kind of DLC they want in this game. One thing's for sure, no Classic Lara outfit or anything of that kind... so does that mean we might get a Lara in Roth skin...? :pi:
Continuing from the other thread, I still want a Lara statue in the Collector's Edition. And they better have a CE for all consoles this time! |
I agree with that... I really don't want a classic Lara skin it kinda ruins the whole "reboot" idea.
|
Agree too. But there are still some people who would like to have classic and LAU outfits in TOMB RAIDER.
|
Yeah, because regardless of reboot status some people like those outfits. I think the classic outfit transcends rebootage in a way, so it shouldn't be strange to see it as a DLC item.
|
NO EXTRA COSTUMES!!!! :smk:
Tomb Raider isn't aimed at children any more. |

Basically, the point of the reboot is to ditch the idea of her looking like a sex bomb. Now if people want outfits from the Crystal Trilogy, maybe we can get something like the Jungle heavy outfit. Since it's like long sleeves, leather jacket and full pants. They could keep the reboot shoes... well, it's just an idea, but they won't consider it. |
If they are going to include the classic outfit i think they should just take the blue green top and keep the rest of her current outfit. I wouldn't mind something like that :)
|
Her grey shirt already turns blue in certain lights and when wet... I doubt we need anymore than that to show some respect to the old outfit.

Plus I'm pretty sure they confirmed there wont be any extra outfits anyway. |

Have people forgotten that the new outfit was inspired by the classic, only with a modern twist? The effects of light/water etc gives the top an appearance of blue at times even though it's grey and the trousers are meant as a modern take to the shorts especially with the bandages being placed where the short length would be. I think that's enough of a homage.
Edit: Others' said the same in much shorter sentences than me. Why do I have to spin out loong sentences for :vlol: |

Come on, how ridiculous would Lara look with the classic outfit on the island? 0_o

Say what you want about LF25 but i think all of his opinions have purposes and he always has facts to support them. Half the people on TRF don't have that!

I have nothing against him. I like him most of the time :p I love studying the screenshots and videos with him. But since he started with the multiplayer idea....:o

However that's not (in my opinion) a reason to avoid a classic DLC outfit, as the two outfits are obviously different. Quote:
Because that's a terrible reason. |

What's the point of having classic outfit in reboot again please?
|
^ Simple - there is no point.

So, yeah, this is the TR general thread, not the lf25 thread, so gonna be quiet now... :pi: |
It's still a reboot. So, I see a classic outfit as DLC completely walking all over that idea.

Too many people who won't want something are asking why as opposed to why not. We've been down this road of "this is not this, so this does not please me like this does" - and by that I mean that you can't satisfy people who want the classic outfit by giving them another outfit which is not the classic outfit. So the idea is.... A. It's somewhat fascinating to see the new Lara in a more realistic version of the classic outfit (still shorts, still tank top, still boots, but with classic colour and saturation). B. Some people just like to mix it up a bit. C. Some people really want the classic outfit and would dish money for it as a DLC, and others would complain but that's a different story. |

OK, having Lara in a Captain outfit (I'm talking about the whole white outfit, in addition to Lara in a Roth skin) is another idea... Though, I don't know how well that would bode for both Lara and the fanbase.
|
I say whatever, if people want to dress Lara up then who's to say that shouldn't happen. If you don't want to then don't, simple.

The only "rules" it contradicts are... 1. TR was once a single player experience, so that can't change because (there was never a valid reason given).... 2. TR is about isolation (among other elements which would be present in multiplayer modes)... 3. Spong is obsessed with disc space which nobody else really cared about until now. But do put the extra bikinis on one disc as they're part of single player and to be extra DLC would be wrong and a marketing scheme. |
@larafan25 A. all the way for me, it's the only reason why i want the classic outfit in TRreboot :jmp::jmp:

That's why I love PC games. You have tons of outfits/mods and you can even make them by your own, and all for free. :p
Now, when are we supossed to get the funny thing? This is getting stressful, seriously. :pi: |

And you don't seem to have an answer as to why TR1 ever needed to exist. Quote:
Plus the colour of her top is grey (although looking different colours in different lighting) but was only a blue/ green tint in the CGI trailer. |
probably by mid february
