I'm a proud flop. I can't, though, understand all that love for XII's characters. Ashe was the only one given a personality, and you could still barely see it with all her gasps.

Most FF characters > Ashe. :/

Fran & Balthier definitely have the most personality to me, along with Ashe. Penelo was typical, Basch was blegh, & Vaan...well she just sucked.

Judge Gabranth was also incredibly interesting. He was probably my favorite part of the game after Fran & Balthier.

He's actually Basch's twin brother, but yeah he sort of looks like Balthier. :p

I really need a PS2 and this game again, just talking about it makes me want to play it. Honestly I would love if they announced a FFXII-2. It's needed, tbh.

:p You are giving them love they don't deserve. The world is amazing and huge, enemies are diverse and powerful, the challenge is superb, gameplay is clever and fun...but the characters and plot are the worst of the series!!!

To me the only reason the plot fell flat was due to it being way too political. However, a few of the characters had their charm (especially Fran & Balthier). But sadly two characters aren't enough to keep a story floating (Fang & Vanille/FFXII).

The game itself is a classic and needs more love, I want to see another game in Ivalice.

Yeah, I did play through and love XII because of its gameplay too.

Other than Fran and Balthier that were flawlessly memorable and loveable, everything else story-related was just.. meh. :/
