I saw this pop up on my Instagram and my heart jumped but then I saw "mobile" and it immediately sank. Guuuuuurl, why you gotta play with my heart like that? I thought Square were over mobile games.

The art style looks so good, just like GO but more detailed.

This could be really interesting, and I definitely think this is just the start of a 2021 celebration. Clearly they're doing more than we know of since this wasn't even rumored.

More likely, it'll be the only big thing we're getting for the anniversary. Trailer is alright but I'll reserve judgement until after they've shown some gameplay. In any case, if it's a proper game (and not something like Relic Run), I do hope that it'll end up on other platforms, as well.

Maybe they’ll port it to consoles and PC later on, nothing’s confirmed yet. They ported GO to PS4 and PS Vita after all.

Welp, at least it’s classic Lara.

It's free-to-play. Damn. So it's not even going to be a real game, probably just one of those "buy more jewels to progress" grinds. I was hoping for an full adventure game at least.

But at the very least, this is the first solid piece of evidence they're bring back the classic iconography, one way or another. We could very well get a separate full-on console game too.

According with Square Enix DE youtube account, it's a Free To Play Game.

High key screaming at the fact they are acknowledging classic TR!!! Eeeek maybe they are testing the waters to see how much of a reaction this mobile game gets? And possibly then a full game...we can only hope

Hmm, it’s just because there’s a few enemies that look like they’re from other games. Spiders, the Rock Monster (Yetis?) who knows. I’m just speculating atm lol.

For a spinoff I really dig the art style, and if it's half as good as Lara Croft Go, then it will be a great game, even if mobile.

Also, this sort of explains why the "Lara Croft" branding was dropped, as this a spinoff that is keeps the Tomb Raider name.

F2P, I hope it's more substantial and a better quality than Relic Run. At least Lara looks better. :D
