How did Von Croy escape the trap?

It has always puzzled me how Von croy managed to survive, get unstuck, and escape the iris trap. I don't have any ideas how in the world he did it. Does anyone have any ideas:confused:

I'm sure someone will be along shortly with some kind of handy link or tidbit of factual information explaining how Von Croy got out ;)
But until then, I say he cut his leg off, dug his way out using the limb as a makeshift spade, then somehow grew another leg :D

Lara probably brought back help from their camp or a nearby village or something. It's not like she would just think "Oh well, he's probably dead. Time to go home." ;)

Yeah I'm sure Lara had something to do with it. Otherwise, I don't think she'd be quite as resentful in AOD.

^Now that I think of it, I guess adult Lara would probably say that. ;) Let's hope that teenage Lara wasn't quite so hard-hearted.

He wiggled out of his jambed shoe and crawled out, while saying rather unmentionable words about young lara :p

Maybe thats why his leg is crippled and he needs a walking stick in latter levels.

In the cutscene lara says:-im coming back to get you! so lara later that she came back to help him, whit someones help i think :p

Maybe he was forced to break his own leg to wriggle out of the trap and then crawl relentlessly out of the tomb. It would explain why one of his legs is in poor shape.

I always assumed his leg broke just from the fall/stuck situation. He then would be able to fall to the bottom of the globe. From there he could open a section, and jump into the water, climb up the side of the pool and go back through the door they came through. All with a broken leg, what a trooper!
