What's the most childish season, when everyone argues about the upcoming game? I think that happens all the time.

larafan25 07-04-12 02:24

One main location in the game can be open hubs, and this piece of the game can be surrounded by a level or two in another location, perhaps?

In the sequel?

just*raidin*tomb 07-04-12 02:24

Hub spaces in TR2222

EDIT: Oh uhh I don't know.

Maybe it will be fully open world.

Oh right, I forgot.

I'm going to force them to go open world with the next game. ._.

I hope someone in the press tells them to go open world.

They need to.

But where would they go? :/

China. I'd like China.

Nope, not the kind I'm talking about.

It might not be exactly alike but it's a good indication of how it could be done.

Are you saying we're going to run from Peru to Greece?

No, i mean each level had their own hubs. Places that needed to be "solved" before you move on to the next area.

With multiple locations?

just*raidin*tomb 07-04-12 02:41

I think we should explore some Native American mythology. That hasn't really been done yet...

Do they really have tombs? I know they have burial grounds but I don't know about tombs. She needs to raid tombs :pi:

larafan25 07-04-12 02:44

Let's go Angels and Demons and get into some...whatever that stuff is type of tombs.

We could raid the tomb Jesus arose from!! :D :vlol:

Lukass 07-04-12 02:45

I'd love her to look for the Holy Grail.

lol

just*raidin*tomb 07-04-12 02:46

I know there's a snake-like thing in Ohio that was made by a primitive civilization...I don't think its a tomb though.

Lets take this in a slightly different direction. Has Lara ever explored an abandoned town? That would be really cool and beautiful. Especially in a tropical area. All the overgrowth on the rotting architecture. D:

larafan25 07-04-12 02:50

Jesus' tomb is kind of just round and boring, plus they think they found it already.

Holy Grail sounds cool.

But what place could be a good wilderness with tombs inside it?

I could see a large Egyptian desert, with giant pyramids, jungles, and sooo many dark claustrophobic tombs.

In fact, I'm certain we're going to Egypt next.

I just can't imagine where CD would take us...where? :/

Where would they set an entire game?

Nah. Unless the culture she's exploring has some actual tombs, i don't want it.

Imagine Egypt or Greece as one game instead of one level. That's how it could be done.

Oh, well we knew that, we were talking about how we would have multiple locations but done with hubs...

I actually wouldn't mind an entire game set in Greece...

Well, just split it into levels. Or the days could be replaced with levels.

ew no, no levels.

just*raidin*tomb 07-04-12 02:55

I guess in order to craft a theory we must first complete game of course, but we must first find an expedition that Lara can go in search of. Since she's an actual archaeologist now she needs to have grounded motive.

She needs to be searching for something that hasn't been discovered yet, but its rumored or proven to have existed like Atlantis for example.

I know, I was joking. It's just a hole in a rock.

Hmmm...

Atlantis was done...and then done in Uncharted....

Do we want her to search for a place or a thing?

They suck the life out of dead people.

I don't want to be loaded into a new place.

I want open world, so levels are like...the opposite of that...sort of. I want to be able to enter one place and leave that place and go into another place, without it being on the other side of the planet. I want depth to the one location chosen, one location. 1 local. ._.

Stevo505 07-04-12 02:59

I think it's going to reach a point where Lara has explored everything, and she'll have to go into outer space or some crap.

There can still be depth in one location though. I'm pretty sure many games have multiple levels without souless globe hopping and utilize each level to the best of their ability. Levels aren't the direct effect of why it feels like that, it's how it's executed.

Lol yeah. The world isn't big enough.

They'll probably go to the center of the earth first. :p

What if we have 2 or 3 or 4 locations that still have depth?

larafan25 07-04-12 03:01

^I would cry.

I don't mind if they make up myths and stuff. I mean Core did it. But there should at least be real locations and real cultures.

You know, Lara could visit one country more than once. But if you're referring to tombs, none of the places Lara has visited exist, they're just inspired by the architecture in that location.

That's true.

Not to mention there's nothing wrong with the game ending in a hub which is a fantastical mythical landscape...I mean come on CEE DEE.

Yeeeessssstthh

I actually want a place on water...like Disney's Atlantis. In fact...yeah I just want Disney's Atlantis to be a hub, in fact I want the game to have similar characters and a similar (holy **** Greenland exists) plot/ adventure.

I want to run and jump from crumbly pieces of bridges sticking out of water (your average Uncharted fractured mesh).

I want so baaad.

Portals could have been done so much cooler in le reboot.

The pyrimids were fake?
The Indian jungles don't exist?
The Great Wall of China isn't even real?
London is all fabricated?
Venice is a place of imaginary people?
Everything is fake?

WHAT IS LIFE.
