Even though TR appeared on other consoles before Playstation i still amount TR's success from the PS. Even today TR still sells better on Playstation than any other console.

But if the next TR supports DirectX11 then PC will be superior, just like Deux Ex: Human Revolution and other DX11 titles out there. :D :jmp:

That doesn't mean it'll sell better on PC.

TR certainly owes its initial and continued success to the PSOne, but I think it's an error to actually associate TR with the Playstation brand.

I associate the classic Tomb Raider with PlayStation, but the Crystal games remind me more of Xbox :p

Well I didn't start playing Tomb Raider until around 2002 and I had no clue which platform it was on, tbh. I admit I didn't realise for ages it had ever been on anything other than the Playstation or the PC. I didn't associate it with one of those plarforms over the the other. The first new Tomb Raider I saw in the shops was Angel of Darkness on the PC. What I think has little to no relevance to what I said. I guess there is relevance to Tomb Raider being more successful on the Playstation, especially the Core games.

Reading old Threads or going to the Fun Archives section of the forum is so Ironic... lol it has so much Irony to read everything the users posted back then and how the times change. Even going as far as back to the year 2000 which is very Interesting to read the excitement people had for TRC and TRAOD :p it really is interesting to read this 2008 post certainly is Ironic how much questions there was back then and how little of answers we've got years later. :pi:

It is pretty fun. Look at the first reply in the Tomb Raider 9 suggestion thread - the first reply suggests that they add a survival element. I think that's kind of funny :p

Yes it is :ton: i enjoy reading the old ideas to compare how things fans mentioned and suggested appear in a TR Game I read old threads of TRAOD, TRL, TRA, TRU and the Reboot and it is really intriguing to think that CD and Core actually listen (in Core's case LISTENED except for AOD) to the fans.

It really is funny, and it makes this forum feel alive as well since CD have to come here to collect ideas since the other forum (the official one) is as deserted as PS2 TRU :p. Lara having no guns is a bad idea at first but it would be nice to alternatively have the ability to fight with the enemies hand to hand (a fixed version of AOD's glitchy Combat) other than only being able to run & shoot :D

edit: it would be great to have a Hand to Hand or a melee weapon combat to save some ammo since the ammo for the Shotgun, Handgun, Dual Pistols etc. will be limited.
