Someone's earlier comment of it being a "ghost town" is rather an overstatement. |

Just curious, will Tomb Raider be shown to press at GDC or are they there strictly for recruiting purposes?

I actually did acknowledge the difference in activity between this and the official forums earlier already. I guess what I just find fascinating is the importance which seems to be placed in post count. Every time I poke my head in here, there is always someone attempting to ridicule the official forums in some way. And I'm not sure how such negativity helps one to enjoy Tomb Raider more... |

Yes, it has happened, actually. The official forums have been referred to as "pathetic". That is something which I would call ridicule. But of course, what is ridicule is open to debate ;) |
^ Right. Now tell me what's the reason why the official forums are so quiet.

Here's hoping if they're showing to the press, one of them will leak something so we can fangasm. |
Actually LCGoL was announced at GDC, or slightly before, but they showed it there.
|
How can you have a HUGE AAA game in production and not show anything, but they will show a downloadable game...
|
@Driber you should post here more often. :)
It's nice here, the Edios forums are somewhat vacant. Come to the dark side. :mis: Well actually, this forum has a white gray layout and the Eidos forum has a dark layout, so you're currently on the dark side. Come to the good/bright side! |

I must say that I can be a very bad boy sometimes, though http://forums.eidosgames.com/images/smilies/naughty.gif So that would actually suit me just well, hehe. But seriously now....I honestly wouldn't have the time. Some may scoff at this (and I know they will :p) but I'm actually having a hard time keeping up on the official forums already. Although there is always room for improvement, it really isn't as deserted as some may have you believe ;) - I recently posted a questionnaire and got a whole bunch of replies from members during the first few days already. And I'm not just moderating the TR9 forum, but also a bunch of other areas. Plus, I'm involved with a lot of behind-the-scenes community stuff, which is eating up my time even more so on a daily basis. So I really don't have any more free time to take on these (very busy) boards, as well :o But I'll continue to lurk here once in a while, hehe. (And post, if the current atmosphere is a welcoming one :)) |
I actually prefer this forum tbh :o Eidos' one gives me the sense of joining a new school… since i've been reading this forum non stop from christmas 2007! :D

Meagan says she will be at GDC for one day only then she will go to SXSW. When I asked about TR she refused to make any comment about it, just said about 'one day at GDC' thing.
|
SXSW? Is that music?

Oh, then it must be SXSM Interactive.

TR 2012 has a lot of competition coming up. Ubisoft announced AC3 not too long ago.

I've asked Jay if there are any chances to see Tomb Raider at GDC the other day and he replied he's usually being kept in a dark until the very end + added this ":)" smiley. I dunno about you, but when anyone asked Keir or Jay about something, the ":)" was always a good sign.
