It has sold 3.4 million copies. Awkward :p
|
The Angel Of Darkness sold way more than what that site has listed, considering the fact it was just re-released for pc not too long ago and it was in the best sellers on steam while the other classics even failed to chart. AOD has had to go on to sell at least 3.5-4 million copies by now, whether it was considered a failure by review standards or not it has its cult following.

Did the game have any different features or something? |

Would it be too much of a trouble if I asked you to make some screenshots from the Steam version? I'd love to see how detailed Lara is in that version.

A: Eidos/SEE kind of want people to forget AoD ever happened because it's got such a bad reputation with most gamers. B: Nobody working at Eidos/SEE nowadays is familiar with the AoD tech. A lot of the assets which would be needed to make any substantial changes to the game probably aren't even accessible to them anymore. |
Perhaps Sony Entertainment ignored Angel of Darkness because it made a mockery of the then new PS2 platform. Imagine that.
How long had the PS2 been out before Tomb Raider, a flagship game debuted on it? |
Hi guys, just wanted to share this with u :whi:

Tomb Raider is dead :(

In some ways it could be dead, and maybe is.
But what I've found is the original games are unfortunately not as extreme as I've come to desire for TR, so in most respects this game is actually not such a departure from the past TR games, aside from the tone and themes being expresed, and the entire combat system, and some other stuff. Fudge. |
Tomb Raider may or may not be dead. I could tell you which, but it's a secret and I'd have to kill you all afterwards :pi:
|
I guess i will have to find a new hero :(
|
You know the saying, don't fix something that isn't broken? Well, honestly the Tomb Raider franchise was broken in 2003 and they had to fix it. It was the only way we could get more Tomb Raider games— You can like it or you can not like it, but it had to be fixed.
|
^mmmm. In some ways. AOD didn't seem like a broken Tomb Raider formula, more like a broken game, or experience. Whereas the reboot might just be the opposite, a near-perfect experience, a great polished game, but the TR formula may suffer or be broken.

I mean. Young Lara waged a war against a psycho cult and an army of ancient warriors. I doubt you're too much of a hassle to protect. |
